Absolutely awful, rude man in baseball cap, lied to me on phone and made a twenty mile round trip for something I could have done in local post office. Time waster

I have an online business based locally and used this post office in November. Two of the parcels were mistakenly delivered back to my address both signed for deliveries, the post master had put the post labels on wrongly and put them on the reverse which had a return label for my address. The customers are not happy. Will cost me over £11 to re send them. I had ten parcels and spent over £70 there. He was far too quick, rushing them through. I normally use Helmsley but of course it has closed down. Also the price of the sellotape and brown tape was well over £1.30 more than other places each and smaller amounts of tape.

I have read the reviews about this Post Office and I can honestly say that I completely disagree with the negative comments. I have been coming to this Post Office on and of for a couple of years now and I can honestly say this is the best Post Office by far. The guy behind the counter is courteous, very knowledgeable and very helpful and i can't say I have ever been overcharged. I will continue to use this very good Post Office. Well Done whoever you are

The guy running the place can be a bit abrupt but he knows his stuff and is very efficient and the service is better than other local post offices.

This post office has really gone down hill in recent years. The member of staff behind the desk is rude and unhelpful, short with you and continues to try and fob you off onto a call line or someone else for help rather than make any attempts themselves. Awful, Thirsk now handles all parcels and as such, I will endeavour to never visit this branch again. Shocking.

They deal quite quickly with queues and seem to do things efficiently, but the man there is quite rude and shouty! I've had the experience a few times now, where he is impatient, snappy, rude and unhelpful and it always seems to cost more to send parcels from this post office than from others. I told a friend this and she said she tries not to go there anymore because he's so rude. Another friend asked me if I was talking about the 'shouty man who overcharges' so it's not just me who's having this experience!
