If you’re going to the theatre park somewhere else. This has to be the worst car park I’ve ever used and I thought I’d seen some bad ones. The Albany are aware of it’s problems and frustrated as it affects their patronage.

Many complaints about this car park seem to relate to the payment system. The machines are, indeed, a bit baffling. Despite not having any barriers, this is a pay on exit car park with an ANPR system. I went to the machine when I went to leave and it had failed to record my car entering the building. I was instructed to input my full number plate and date/time of entry. This was easy enough and it came up with the correct fee. But, despite the machines having card/contactless payment devices on them, these did not appear to work and the display told me I had to pay with coins, which I did not have. I cancelled the transaction and downloaded the parking app shown on the sign. Once I had made an account, I was able to input my parking details there and pay with Apple Pay, which was easy.

Payment machines DON'T work. Have to manually put in time of arrival then leaving and pay by CASH. Get an up to date system ... you are ruining local theatre business and hotel. Try standing in the rain queuing after a show for 30 mins and see how you like it.

Dreadful. Parked in front of the Theatre but the machine would not accept coins. Appeal against the £100 fine was rejected on the grounds that I should have phoned a number on display (I didn't see it) or not park there. Owners don't accept responsibility for their faulty.machines - apparently it's the motorist's fault, not theirs.
