Wanted £50 to sign an essential medical exemption certificate for an elderly patient with dementia. Disgraceful. I can only imagine the practise meetings are like a scene from The Ghost of Christmas past. Sat round a candle lit table rubbing there hands to see what they can extort from their elderly and vulnerable patients

Booked, 20 days in advance, appointment to request a letter from GP to have a mammogram. Appointment available for 4:10 pm ( I have to start working at 5 pm). Still waiting to see the GP at 4:40. I had to leave to go to work. In my medical record it has been written 'patient walked out'. Not even a phone call from GP and no respect for appointment time.

It must be me, but have always found all staff; from reception to GP's accessible, friendly and helpful. Yes you may have to wait a while in a queue ringing for appt. Yes a non urgent F2F appt may be harder to access than you'd like. When you take into account the number of patients registered to the number of medical staff available then they will be delays, especially if one insists on seeing a particular GP, Nurse Practioner, or HCA. When the chips are down and you need to see someone ASAP, then from initial contact with reception staff through to Health Professional they'll go out of their way, bend over backwards, work with you to get you sorted. Thats been my experience and that's why I rate them 5*.

My granddaughter managed to get a metal object stuck in her nail when leaving primary school. The school staff were unable to remove it and suggested I take her to the Medical Centre. Reception told me to go to A&E at North Tees which with being unfamiliar with the area was not much help. There was a total lack of empathy for a 9 year old in pain. No medical staff involved. Very disappointing.

Simply delighted with joining my new surgery. Reception staff so helpful. Very welcoming and amazing how I got an appointment the same day. The doctor was fantastic too. Wish I had joined this surgery years earlier.
