    Took some friends here for the day. It was our first visit, and we all loved it. We spent 5 hours looking round the grounds and house. We had lunch in the tea room, which was very nice too. I was using a mobility scooter and managed to get around most of the grounds. There were just a couple of places, a bridge going towards the lake and the start of the boardwalk where I had a little trouble getting the scooter on. A very pleasant day. I will definitely be back.

    What a treasure house of art. Brilliant tour with James, who as Curator was kind enough to act as as a last minute guide to our U3A group.Exceptional cafe who speedily served our 15 strong party. An absolute all round .

    Great Hall. A friendly welcome and knowledgeable volunteers we were welcomed into the first room by Bob who was a lovely man who gave us a brilliant overview of the halls history and it's owner's. Walled kitchen garden well worth a walk round. If you find yourself in this part of North Yorkshire it's well worth a visit
