It has been such a joy having our son being cared for by Monira and her team. After a stressful hunt for childcare was beginning to feel impossible, we absolutely lucked out with a spot with Monira. It is an immensely caring environment and the kids are really loved. Monira was incredibly accommodating when we discovered our sons dairy allergy could result in anaphylaxis and introduced an entirely dairy free menu to the setting. Monira’s feedback to parents is frequent and honest which is great and the addition of football, ballet and phonics classes has been a wonderful bonus!

Our daughter attended Monira’s setting from the age of 1 to just over 3 years old and we have had a brilliant experience. From the outset we felt that we could trust Monira to provide a safe and nurturing setting. She regularly shares photos and updates from the setting within a private group for us parents, so we never went without an insight into how our daughter’s day was going and fun photos of what the children had been up to. One of the highlights has definitely been the weekly activities that Monira arranged in the setting including phonics class, ballet and football sessions. These were a great addition to the weekly routine and something our daughter was genuinely excited about. We couldn’t recommend Monira’s setting more highly to anyone who is looking for childcare with a personal touch. We felt that our daughter was loved and cared for as though she was family, and E17 Childminders has been a wonderful family to be part of!

I have known Monira since she started trading, she has gone strength to strength. You have to see the smile on her children's faces to know how well cared for they are. She has exernal activities as well as in house activities which is every parents dream specially as we working parents can't take the kids to groups. Her level of transparency & honesty I really appreciate. You don't feel like you are leaving your child with a childminder more a family member. Most of the families choose stay with her rather then sending to nursery. Monira is a good communicator and always explains why she is doing what. Her waiting list is long & i'm not surprised as no one wants to leave her setting. Once you bond with Monira your child and you have a friend for life. Keep up the good work you deser e the credit you are getting. Monira has events where she invites all her families together so the adults can bond and network as allot of us are new to the area. She is more than a childminder she is FAMILY.

I feel very lucky to have found Monira. After visiting some average nurseries, I was so relieved to walk into a warm, welcoming, safe and fun environment for my one year old. He's been there nearly a year now and he loves it! Monira holds fun classes for them weekly including- cooking, gym and phonics. He's learnt so much there, he often comes home to me singing his ABC's and new nursery rhymes. Monira is very open and honest and easy to talk to, I never have to worry when I'm at work and she always helps with extra hours where possible. Her staff are Rafe's best friends, we fully trust them and the environment.

After relocating to E17 from out of the country, it took us a while to find a childcare situation that worked for us. We were so lucky to find Monira last year, she's been looking after our youngest for 10 months now and we're really happy but more importantly our daughter is really happy too. She is visibly excited as we approach the setting and frequently asks for "Mimi" and her friends. Monira is organised, communicative and plans engaging activities for all in the setting. Monira really knows her stuff and is easy to talk to. When I ask her advice she always manages to find the right balance between her approach and my own. I really appreciate that she's open and honest as well as a good listener. Thank you for all that you do, our little one is learning so much in your capable hands.

Our one year old daughter suffered three facial injuries in three weeks at this setting, one of which has left a permanent scar some three months later. We were assured, upon raising concerns informally (after the third incident), that Monira 'took all parent feedback seriously'. Just three days later, however, and without warning, we were asked to leave the setting and our safeguarding concerns were left unaddressed, despite Monira promising that she would have an 'urgent' meeting with her team to 'come up with ways to make the setting safer'. As part of our duty of care to both our own child and others, we shared our concerns with Waltham Forest, and the LADO's team advised us that they also shared our concerns regarding omission of care at this setting and therefore children being at risk of harm. In light of this, the Local Authority made an unannounced visit to this childminder. We understand that they have since produced a safeguarding report for this setting, but we are not privy to the outcome as per due process. Subsequently, this childminder has refused to return our deposit of £1075 and, despite repeated attempts to reach out to her, she has told us that we will need to take legal action should we wish to recover our costs, which unfortunately we are left with no choice but to pursue due to her unwillingness to engage with us and return the money she owes. All in all, a thoroughly unpleasant experience all round, and one which we are glad to have removed our child from.

After a nightmare experience with our previous childminder our expectations weren’t particularly high. Monira soon changed all that. You only have to look at the children’s happy faces to see how much they all love being at “Mimi’s”. Our daughter has flourished and it’s all thanks to Monira and her wonderful Assistants. Weekly lessons on site such as phonics and baby-gym with local teachers are included at no extra cost. So are love, happiness and laughter. We all want the best for our children - and that’s what we have in Monira.
