Went through a period of uncertainty due to sudden development of symptoms in my child. Karen was prompt and professional all through the experience. Her thorough assessment, knowledge and a subsequent clear explanation of the diagnosis was a huge relief to know what was going on to help us with next steps which includes Karen speaking to the school/teachers as part of the service. Won't hesitate to recommend.

Not only did the report provide us with much needed insight and understanding into how our daughter thinks and learns it is also full of well thought out suggestions and ideas for how we can further help her going forwards. Despite containing lots of necessary information the report was surprisingly easy to read and digest.

My son completed an assessment with Mrs Faulds. From start to finish she was very relatable, reassuring and thorough throughout. Turn around was quick and she made time following the assessment to speak with me. The report was very detailed and made lots of recommendations for home and school along with a 6 week target plan. The only reason for not giving a 5 was that I was unable to remain with my son or onsite while the assessment was being completed. Local parking is restricted so if you are not local, you may want to consider going into town to do some shopping or to grab a cuppa as the wait is roughly 3 hrs. That said, all questions asked were answered and documents to confirm up to date DBS and credentials were provided well in advance. I spoke to several EP's and the price varies greatly for an assessment, but I feel the report is good value for money and my son left happy! I now feel better equipped with the information provided to advocate for his presenting needs. Thank you

Our daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia in year 5, and since her school did not offer active support, I looked for a private dyslexia tutor to work with her on a weekly basis. We were very lucky to get Karen’s help as a specialised dyslexia tutor. Karen has many years of SEN experience, and vast knowledge on the subject. She immediately developed a report with our otherwise shy daughter, and a program to guide her through the areas that dyslexic children find tricky in English and maths. Karen taught her specific techniques for fractions, spelling, etc, which our daughter found very effective for her learning. Our daughter particularly struggles with working memory. Karen recommended an online working memory training, Cogmed, comprising 40 daily online training sessions, completed over the summer break. While working our way through the course, Karen offered excellent support and feedback, and we were delighted to see our daughter’s improvement. I would definitely recommend Karen to anyone struggling with dyslexia. The condition is very confusing for both parents and children, and it offers great peace of mind to be guided through the challenges by an experienced professional.
