I rarely write reviews, but the care I received at this clinic was truly outstanding. My first appointment at the clinic was in December. At the time I was going through a very bad episode of depression and I felt like I have exhausted treatment option available via NHS. My first appointment at Dyad medical was with Dr Deepu Thomas he diagnosed me with treatment-resistant depression. He also suggested that Spravato would be the best treatment option for my circumstances, and indeed it was (my symptoms improved dramatically since beginning this treatment course). Later I had several appointments with Dr Abdelghani. Everyone at the clinic was understanding of my condition and very supportive. Finally, I’d like to add that I do appreciate how transparent they are at the clinic about the treatment costs. The quotes were always provided to me in advance (and always did reflect the prices listed on their website).

Appalled. would advise against going for ADHD. Overpriced self assessment, hidden costs, straight up dishonesty. No real help apart from pushing meds on people who may not need them - Dangerous. Customer service that had me on breaking point. Healthier for having left. Find a good coach who can spend the time to look at all your options. The clinic could consider taking on a good coach to offer a much better service, that would really help people.

*Thank you for taking the time to respond, I appreciate this and fully took into consideration all elements of the session and the offers you detailed when writing my review and providing a score. (1) Your offer of 'addressing the different points made in my email' sounded a little like explaining to the patient why they are wrong - given that my comments were critical wholly of the experience, process and format of the consultation, rather than Dr Abdelghani's clinical/technical expertise. (2) Though initially I thought the additional half hour of his expertise might be useful, given the disappointing nature of the 1.5 hours I'd already received and his apparent willingness to end that session, this option became less desirable with consideration. (3) A £100 discount did not reflect the brevity or quality of the session. I did not want to accept an offer that I felt was unreasonable. I waited 9 months before generating this review and have reflected on this experience a good deal, wishing to weigh it up as fairly and openly as possible. Sadly, this reflection has not changed my opinion that the quality of the service was not commensurate with the fee charged.* 'I very rarely write negative reviews but - after a good deal of reflection on my appointment with Dr Abdelghani in August '20 - I feel compelled to do so. I absolutely do not doubt the clinical conclusion arrived at by Dr Abdelghani - it is more the manner in which this conclusion was reached. I left Dr Abdelghani's office with the impression that I'd been rushed through a 'by the numbers' process with a conclusion that could have been determined purely by scores on self-report questionnaires sent in by email the day prior. Firstly, the appointment was 10-15 minutes late in getting started. This would have been fine had the appointment not finished 15 minutes early, giving me only ~1.5 hours of the 2-hour session. I understand that Dr Abdelghani may feel that all questions had been asked in the time but, given the large financial commitment made by patients to see him, shouldn't every minute of the 2 hours be used? At £680 for a 2 hour session (of which only ~1.5 hours was received) - or £7.50 a minute - I think it is reasonable to expect a phenomenal service. Either by encouraging therapeutic engagement with the client or, even to suggest useful improvements or changes to lifestyle, diet, exercise etc. for better mental health? Secondly, the majority of the session was spent being asked (at quite a quick pace) the same set of questions that I was asked in the questionnaires. If this has already been done, why spend so much crucial - and expensive - time repeating these? Thirdly, I was surprised that I did not feel our engagement was at all warm, friendly or open given the nature of the reviews online - though I appreciate that this may relate to my personal expectations and was not helped by being positioned at an angle/distance given Covid-19. I want to express my disappointment at the conclusion of our session, that: 'I cannot diagnose this as ADHD because the symptoms did not start before you were 12.' I have absolutely no qualms with Dr Abdelghani's conclusion at the clinical level. My disappointment lies in the fact that this was *clearly* evident in my answers to the questionnaires requested by his administrative team. This conclusion could have been reached by a quick read through of these, with an advisory that a different diagnostic service would be appropriate, rather than paying £680 for an appointment shortened because of a conclusion arrived at by information I'd already provided! Once again, I do not doubt Dr Abdelghani's clinical prowess - and I appreciate his clinical appraisal. However, I think it is reasonable to expect a service that is welcoming, curious and utilises each second to investigate every possible avenue to treat patients presenting with significant psychological distress. Sadly, this was not the service I received, and I cannot recommend his services in earnest.'
