Came and did some door hinge adjustment, the gentleman that did it was really professional and polite and did an excellent job. The reason for knocking the stars down was the quote we had to fit a new lock strip which was uncompetitively high.

Such a shame! I was given many positive reviews and recommendations regarding Dutton & Bailey from friends, family and also my business links in the area. I originally had a very very bad experience from another double glazing company that claimed to “fit the best” unfortunately the installation fitted in September 2020 was condemned. I then contacted Dutton and Bailey for a new installation quote and spoke to a very pleasant lady whos sympathetic approach to my previous experience was very welcomed and she promised they will make my experience with them as pleasant as possible, she would also explain to the representative about my previous issues. A date was arranged and the follow up confirmation email along with a Covid information made me feel I had chosen a company that was both professional and gave the personal touch that lacks in most business now. The quote date arrived and a Dutton & Bailey representative arrived on time and as planned, I followed the representative around and was pointing out the faults and damage the previous installation company had made as I did not want the same issues to arise again, pointing out areas that now needed lintels due to loose brickwork. He showed no interest in the job what so ever, he was onsite for 15 minutes maximum measuring and said an initial first quote would be sent on the following Tuesday and he would text me to let me know it had been sent. This was the last I heard from Dutton & Bailey, I followed up with an email a week later and again had no response. I fully understand that the job was a problem due to the bodge job the previous installation company made but that’s the reason I wanted to fully explain the issues before any quotation was sent as a matter of caution and courtesy. If the job was not to the company’s liking or declined to quote due to the nature I would rather of been told and would have fully understood and appreciated the honesty. Again such a shame as Dutton & Bailey was my top pick after the initial telephone conversation with the added reviews out of the 4 business I invited to quote.
