In my experience there are two options: 1) Don't get ill 2) Change surgery

Walked in on my first visit to this surgery to find no hand gel to use before touching the screen to book in. No option to book in another way so had to continue without sanitiser. The screen told me to go to the waiting room but having not been to the surgery before I had no idea where that was. Couldn’t see a sign (I did look around for quite a while) so asked someone behind the reception screen. The response was incredibly rude that it was on the sign above the screen. I asked them to clarify and got a huffed response just saying the same thing. I was left none the wiser and ended up wandering around until I found some chairs and asked another patient. You’d think in 2022 GP receptionists might consider that someone may need assistance beyond being directed to a sign they clearly can’t see - huffing at me the way they did was an awful way to handle a simple question. Especially when asked to clarify. Fingers crossed my future appointments will be at my actual surgery and not this ‘health centre’

Had ingrown toe nail surgery done at the Podiatry clinic here. The two women performing the surgery were wonderful, very calm, reassuring and professional. Very skilled with the 4 local anesthetic injections I had! (2 per toe). I'm quite the needle phobe and after reading reviews online, which most of them are horror stories about the injections being really painful, I was very anxious going into it. But I barely felt a thing! I even said the injections were pleasant! A couple of times there was a bit of a sharp sting, which is just the anaesthetic being a bit acidic and not the needle (The needle is so small I honestly didn't even know it was in my toe. The slight sting from the anaesthesia was what gave it away that they were injecting me), even then that sting lasted no more then a 3 or 4 seconds each time. The rest of the procedure was very comfortable and pleasant. Of course the local anesthetic has completely numbed the toe, so you don't feel anything pain wise. The whole thing took about 50 minutes or so for both big toes to be done. Would absolutely recommend to anyone with ingrown nails.

Good Doctors surgery if you actually get to see a Doctor! Quoted two weeks wait for a telephone appointment to discuss change of medication dose. Receptionists vary from downright rude to friendly and helpful depending who you are faced with. Why was I forced to pay National Insurance for over fifty years to get service like this?

The service I have received over the past 3 - 6 months has been bad. I had an initial appointment which was great, felt a little rushed but that was expected. Had a scheduled 2nd visit and I was told I would be informed of when it was by text message. This message was never received and instead went to my mother's mobile rather than mine resulting in a missed appointment and a blaming letter sent to me stating how bad it is to miss appointments, if this is a standard letter it needs reworking. Next I rebooked the 'missed' appointment 4 weeks in advance and 30 mins before due to be seen was called and told I had been double booked. Being a nice guy I said I'll reschedule. So while the doctors there are nice and accurate with diagnosis, (at least in my case), the waiting room pleasant and climate controlled the back room/admin side if that's what it is called is sloppy at best, however I have no proof that letters or text messages are sent via the Durrington office and if not they should look at why this is so badly actioned. Oh on a side note the car park is small and is very hard to get a space and parking outside isn't easy either. And as a final addition if you Google the surgery and use the telephone number given to call please be aware that the surgery is split into at least 2 separate lines, the main surgery and lime tree, (maybe more), because the main number isn't for lime tree. Having checked on this I have been informed that no calls go through to Durrington as they have an open reception and therefore not private so all calls go to the Findon lime tree surgery that took over the old mayflower part at Durrington. So if you want to book for lime tree I believe you should Google lime tree surgery Findon and ask to be booked in at lime tree surgery Durrington. Any text message should state 'lime tree surgery Durrington', no Durrington part then it's the Findon branch. If anyone knows any different do let me know and I'll update.

My husband had nail surgery at the Podiatry clinic based at Durrington health centre and we were very impressed with the service. We were seen on time and the lady doing the surgery was very kind and gentle and together with her assistant put my husband at ease. Nails healing well and no pain or discomfort Thank you
