A good place to park for Durham and take the shuttle bus into the city. Would recommend using a Park n Ride for the city. There are a couple other sites around the outskirts of Durham, depends where you are coming from. Lots of parking available and a frequent bus service. Just remember to buy a ticket as you can't just leave uour car here for free parking... you have to use the bus service.

This was so simple. We parked up , jumped on the bus which left about 2 mins later and in a flash were in the town centre. We checked with the driver if the collection point was the same as the drop off point, it was, and away we went. I guess that s what a park and ride is all about but as this was our first visit to Durham this made it a complete breeze. Thank you
