Very nice hotel. We stayed in room 16 which was massive. On first appearance it didn't appear to be the most child friendly environment as the majority of people visiting seemed to be of an older generation however the staff and other visitors were very welcoming of us having our children with us and didn't mind them being in the bar area in the evening. We booked four rooms in total for all of us as it was a 60th birthday. The lady who was 60 was fist placed in a room that was a little too warm for them as it had the boiler in the same room as them. After asking at reception they were moved to by far the best room in the entire hotel and we greatly appreciate that. Hotel was immaculately clean throughout and quiet throughout the entire time we were there. Hotel staff were happy to book us taxis to take us into the town in the evening and the breakfast was lovely. Thank you for a great stay we look forward to coming back again soon

We have stayed at Dunsley Hall several times and have previously recommended it to our friends. We arrived Sunday afternoon, April 16th, for a four night stay b,b & evening meal. We were allotted ROOM 27 in the annexe - we usually like these rooms as there are no stairs to manage with our luggage. On entry, the room was very hot but this could be tempered by opening both windows and the door leading outside to the garden. The thermostat control was turned down but this made no difference to the hot room, presumably heated underfloor. However, the major problem was a pervading intermittent noise which continued throughout our stay and 24/7. After an almost sleepless night, the next morning we found the source of this noise - it was coming from the room next door - the boiler room. We complained to the Reception lady who eventually offered us another room but this could not be available for another two days. As this would mean we would have to change rooms for just one night, we decided to stay put. Big mistake as one night's sleep would have been better than none at all! We also asked if the boiler was going to be repaired or serviced but no response... We spoke to our neighbours in ROOM 26 - they too were upset by this noise and could hear it even though he was deaf and she had to wear earplugs! On leaving on the Thursday morning and paying the bill, we again complained to a different Receptionist lady about the noisy room. She made a note in her book and then replied rather abruptly "Ask for an upgrade the next time you stay". We both said that, in the circumstances, that we were never likely to stay at Dunsley Hall again. She then turned her back on us and disappeared into her little office. Oh dear, Dunsley Hall, get your act together - you can do better than this!. A message to intending visitors - do not accept ROOMS 27 and 26 until the boiler is fixed! (A similar message to the above was sent to Dunsley Hall many days ago but no reply - no surprise there!) Alec Jacques

The hotel was beautiful. So this is difficult to write. Few things, no pressure in the shower, none at all. Someone's used bar of soap still in the soap tray. At dinner they sat each table too close to each other so you couldn't relax and chat. Rooms were too hot. At breakfast you had to use two toasters from argos or b&m with no utensils to pick up the bread, so it had been touched by everyone else. Fresh orange dispenser tap needs cleaning as me and my partner found mould coming out of the tap. It sounds like im being a touch mardy. But such simple little things, thats all it needs. Beautiful building and so peaceful

First visit here, but will certainly be back. Such a lovely building & wonderful gardens. Superb rooms and friendly, helpful staff. A peaceful, relaxing retreat - but so close to the coast & the Moors.
