We stayed on the lovely Legato - really well equipped, quality bed linens and towels, lovely design. Great to have 2 cabins and 2 bathrooms both with showers. The training and support were first class. I can’t recommend a canal holiday enough - all your cares fall away living at a maximum 4 miles an hour - the Lancaster Canal is stunning, especially the northern section. Lovely team of people to hire from. Fabulous.

We hired “Piccolo” for a week on the Lancaster canal. The boat is 5 star ⭐️ with everything we needed for a comfortable trip. Eamon was so helpful and instructed us really well on how to use the boat & gave us lots of advice on where to go. Highly recommend to everyone, lovely scenery, lovely boat had a great time!

Just had a marvellous week to celebrate my husbands birthday on board the luxurious Glissando. Beautiful boat, well appointed, clean, comfortable and easy to manoeuvre. Friendly welcome from Duck Island Boat Co upon our arrival and most helpful when disembarking too. Highly recommend this company to explore the Lancaster canal and we hope to return for a future adventure on Piccolo next time 😊

I have just completed a holiday on the Legato with my partner and parents. We have narrow boated before but the quality of the accommodation on this craft was far superior to what we have experienced before. In particular the size and comfort of the beds and the 2 toilet/shower rooms giving both couples privacy was an excellent design feature. I was particularly impressed with the extensive advice, instruction and recommendations that we were given on arrival. Thank you so much and we hope to be back in the future.

We have been on a few boats, Duck Island Boat Company are up there as one of the best! Interior is of high standard, with great attention to detail. Well fitted kitchen, with everything you need and more. A proper shower! If you have been on a boat before you will know what showering can be like….this is not that! High powered and hot water. Heating system, that keeps you warm. (Tried and tested on a cold Easter weekend) Home from home! Perfect! Happily will return. Veronica & Malcolm

Well what can we say?? We have just returned from a relaxing holiday on board the Calando which is a credit to the owners Eamonn and Elaine who are a lovely couple and extremely helpful. Elaine's attention to detail and decor and Eamonns tutorial showing us the ropes and handing over the helm was exceptional and nothing was a problem, always available for any questions we needed to ask.
