Paid 2 deposits for a bedroom furniture job in June 2021 and after months of excuses the job was not done and the deposits not returned. County Court Judgement pending. Be careful when you pay anything to this firm.

I paid DS Solo £720 on the 3rd August 2021 as the 15% deposit. I paid DS Solo £1680 as additional 35% deposit on the 10th August 2021 after technical drawing agreement. As per the agreement, DS Solo were supposed to install the fitted wardrobes 6 weeks after the day of receiving second part of deposit. I called DS Solo multiple times on the 1st Sept, 20th Sept, 24th Sept, 6th Oct, 8th Oct, 20th Oct, 25th Oct and each time DS Solo gave excuses under the sun from broken van to his mother's health issue. On 22nd Nov He assured me that the work will be finished by 13th Dec 2021 but on the 12th Dec 2021, he said he couldn't deliver and he will return my £2400 deposit. Now he is not responding to emails, messages, calls. I am very frustrated that I am losing money in these tough times. Edit on the 24/12/2021: It has now been 7 working days since I gave him my bank details to return my £2400 deposit. I have not received my £2400 deposit money back even though he said in his response that he will return it in 5-7 working days. This is such a difficult situation to be in just before Christmas. Losing £2400 is not some penny change. Edit on 3/01/2022: Sent two reminder emails and he said he will return the money on the 3rd January 2022. Today is the 3rd Jan 2022 and I’m waiting for my money back. No one picks up the phone, responds to text messages or WhatsApp messages. My hard earned money is at stake After 2 and half months of chasing for refund, he is threatening M to block my number and giving numerous excuses
