Our 9 year old daughter has been learning drums with Neill for about five months now, and has tutored her through the initial grade and grade 1, both with distinction. Neill is an excellent teacher and clearly very experienced at both playing drums and teaching - we have been particularly impressed with his ability to communicate the techniques he is teaching appropriately to her age. He is flexible as to whether she wants to work on grades or learn well known pieces (or both), and supplies the necessary study resources electronically. Neill's studio is professionally set up and well equipped. Our daughter loves her weekly lessons with Neill and we would recommend him wholeheartedly.

When I started learning to play the drums with Neill, I had never played any form of musical instrument before and I had never read music. I’m over 50 and I love playing the drums ! Neill is an amazing teacher and I still cannot believe how much I have achieved in a year. Neill is highly recommended Thank you Neill 🙏 Sharon Henley on Thames

Neill was my drum teacher for a year and a half and I cannot recommend him enough! Neill is talented, passionate and inspiring. His extensive CV of drumming for bands and on TV shows, as well as sponsorship deals and his own signature sticks (!!) means he is a great role model and mentor. I'd look forward to every lesson, learning from someone so experienced and knowledgeable about the industry. I absolutely loved hearing his stories, sometimes we would run overtime just chatting! I would recommend Neill to drummers of any skill level (I came back into drumming late at the age of 39 after a long gap!) He is friendly and engaging, customising each lesson to suit my ability and musical interests, which was always motivating and fun. Neil is patient, easy going, and has a great sense of humour. He was really accommodating during these testing times in Covid - offering a mixture of lessons over zoom and in his socially-distanced state of the art studio in Henley. It was really fun playing across the room from him and being able to play together at the same time! (Neill played an electric kit while I played an acoustic kit) It was also a real treat to play with top of the range drum gear and have access to recording facilities every week. It was always a drag going home to my cheap old set up! Neill was also really patient and flexible - If I couldn't make a lesson, he would always offer another time that week to squeeze me in so I did not miss out on my learning. Neill isn’t just a teacher – he's someone who really invests in his students and wants the best for them. I would absolutely recommend Neill to anyone wanting to learn the drums, he's hands down the best teacher out there!

My son (12 years of age) has been having drum lessons with Neill at Drum Lab UK now for 3 months. He had been taking lessons for a number of years through his primary school but had moved on to secondary and we'd decided to try to arrange weekend lessons rather than lessons in the school week. Neill's set up is extremely professional - the equipment is excellent and the lessons well structured. Our son enjoys the sessions and finds Neill a really motivating teacher. I'd say he gives him confidence in his drumming and enourages him so that he is keen to practice and improve each week. Our son's just starting the Trinity examination with Neill now. Also , worth noting that Neill has been flexible with the lessons so that some have been 'in person' and others in lockdown 'remote' via Zoom. This has been seamless. All in all we couldn't be happier and absolutely recommend. :)

Neill has taught my son for the past three years and has proved to be an inspirational and patient teacher. The DrumLab is a great facility, housing state of the art equipment in a modern, funky environment. My son always comes away feeling inspired to practice.

Neill has a wealth of experience that shows through when he teaches. My daughter aged 9 has really taken to playing the drums and a major part of this is via the teaching style that Neill has in creating a personable and enjoyable environment that keeps her keen - highly recommended!
