My wife tried to purchase a helmet from Drover cycles last week online which was on sale. She got a message the next day to say that the helmet was part of clearance and was sold and that she would be refunded. 1 week later we have yet to be refunded and the helmet is still showing as in stock, but now at the full price. I’m sure reading the reviews most people have had great experiences with them, but this is ours. Can’t understand why we have to wait so long and can’t understand how the item is still in stock when we were told it was sold.

Always a pleasure to stop here after a ride over Gospel Pass. The staff are all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and the cafe is amazing - coffee, cake and toasties all highly recommended. I wish it was my local bike shop!

I have been hanging around bike shops for decades and I think my experience at Drover Cycles today was the best I've ever had. Having snapped a mech cable half way up the Gospel, I limped into the shop. Half an hour later I was on my way with a bacon sandwhich and a cup of coffee inside me. Thank you so much. Saved my day. Absolute stars!

Wonderful experience yesterday - I came in mid cycle with broken cleats. The lovely man swiftly fixed them while we hand a lovely cuppa - and at the same time discovered my bike was rather broken in a few other places (including some quite critically missing components!) He fixed everything, oiled my gears and I was on my way so quickly - very very grateful.

Was recommended this company for hiring mountain bikes. Great company to deal with. We didnt need to pre-book. Picked up bikes on the same day. One regret we had was that had we known electric/hybrid bikes were on offer it would have made all those uphill rides alot easier and probably more enjoyable. I think this was an oversight by the management on the day and would have appreciated the heads up on all the bikes on offer.
