FAQ

What is the denomination's stance on social issues such as LGBTQ+ rights and women's rights?

As a Christadelphian church, we believe in strictly adhering to the teachings of the Bible. We believe that marriage is between one man and one woman, and that men and women have different roles in the family and the church. However, we also believe in treating all individuals with love and respect, regardless of their beliefs or lifestyles.

How does your church prioritize community outreach and service projects?

Service and outreach are important aspects of our faith. We regularly participate in local charity events and service projects, such as volunteering at food banks and supporting homeless shelters. We also offer a variety of free events and activities for the community, such as movie nights and holiday celebrations.

Can you provide information on the church's theological beliefs and interpretations of scripture?

As Christadelphians, we believe in the authority of the Bible and strive to follow its teachings in our daily lives. Our beliefs include the resurrection of the dead, the return of Jesus Christ, and the establishment of God's kingdom on earth. We interpret scripture through careful study and analysis, seeking to understand its original meaning and context.

How are new members integrated into the church community?

We welcome new members with open arms and strive to make them feel at home in our community. We offer regular Bible study sessions and encourage new members to attend church events and activities. We also assign mentors to new members to help guide them through their spiritual journey.

What types of programs and activities are available for children and youth within the church?

We offer a variety of programs and activities for children and youth, including Sunday School classes, summer camps, and youth group events. These programs emphasize the importance of faith, service, and fellowship in a fun and engaging environment. We believe in nurturing the spiritual growth of children and youth and helping them develop a strong foundation in faith.

A great church -- friendly and family oriented. There is a Sunday School for all ages starting on Sundays at 10am. In parallel there is a "Bible over Coffee" This is suitable for anyone over 16 and it also starts at 10am. They explore what the bible says on all sorts of practical topics. Both last for c45 minutes. The Sunday service starts at 11:00 and lasts for just over an hour. They do lots of other activities including fundraising events (which are run roughly every month) for a range of local and national charities such as Macmillans Cancer Support, Derbyshire Air Ambulance and Meal-A-Day.
