Wish I could give zero stars. I sent my license in for its renewal and to add provisional entitlement for a HGV. This was all carried out in in November 2021 and as of yet I have not received anything back. Pretty useless to be honestšŸ™„ Now May 2023 and Iā€™ve nothing still

Have had to call twice in the last month regarding a few queries. Both staff have been super polite and helpful with a waiting time of under 2 minutes. On both occasions the staff were knowledgeable and resolved the queries in a few minutes. Thanks šŸ‘

Waited almost a year to have my medical licence renewed and its still not been processed , to be told there is a backlog . No apologies given whatsoever, just there is a backlog. I have no drivers licence now in date . My licence will be due for renewal again by the time its processed as is renewed yearly. I now have no identification as the licence expiry date was almost a year ago . There seems to be no go to to report or to expedite the process . Not good at all and unacceptable. I have also changed my address and concerned the change if address will not be applied due to there backlog. The dva should make these things easy since it is not legal to have the wrong address on a drivers licence.

Any time I've dealt with DVA NI, the people on the phone have been dead on. Recently had to fill a form for renewal of my licence and they couldn't have been more helpful, even when i ask naive questions.

0 stars of was possible! This public service is absolutely rubbish!! I donā€™t know the line of nepotism that might be working there ā€˜cause of they are not employed by this I donā€™t know how they have this job!! Incompetence is not a strong enough word!! I sent a bill with my application with my name and my address and my ID to get my first provisional that was on the 4th of January, they received it on the 5th since then I was waiting. 4 weeks passed and I contacted them (on the 6th of February)and they answered me about one week later (on the 13th of February) and they told me that I was the one who stared in the application form my home number being 13 not 18. Keep in mind that Iā€™ve sent a proof of address with my application! One friend of mine had problems with them last summer too trying to blame him for the misspelling of his name. (he has a short English name ,but someone for this ā€œfantasticā€ public service typed ā€œnā€ instead of ā€œmā€ and he was to blame because apparently he was the one who misspelled it in his application) But for now he was even worst as he needed to fight with them as they didnā€™t want to change his license without him paying again for it. And now because of them I need to fill out a DL1 and to send it to Correspondence team at driving licensing to confirm my address. This person who is blaming me for not knowing my address is Hayley (no last name). I still donā€™t know what is the point of sending proof of address because obviously the DVLA NI is not capable of reading or confronting two documents. Is just stupid!! P.S. I supposed to start my driving lessons in March ,not anymore apparently. I am absolutely ragging!!

This service is so backward in this country, you can't contact anyone just to enquire about a simple thing or nor can you apply for a provisional online. This service needs to be brought into the 21st century
