Draped Seated Woman also known as Old Flo is a bronze sculpture by Henry Moore created by the artist to bring a little joy into the heart of a council estate This 1957 work had survived vandalism, the demolition of her original setting at Stifford Estate in 1997, a custody battle and attempts by Towe Hamlets council to raise cash by auctioning her off. The sculpture spent 10 years on loan at Yorkshire Sculpture Park before returning to East London. There are 7 casts of this sculpture all over the workd including one in Jerusalem, Melbourne, Brussels and New Haven.

Draped Seated Woman a sculpture by Henry Moore 1957-1958 This is a female figure resting in a seated position. Typical of the quality of a Henry Moore composition with fine figurative detail and walking around the sculpture you see different and interesting aspects of how he created this work. Love Henry Moore Sculpture and this is a very fine piece.

As you can realise, when visiting the area, Canary Wharf is not all about finance and skyscrapers Canary Wharf is one of the United Kingdom’s largest collections of Public Art and the bronze sculpture "Draped Seated Woman" made by Henry Moore in 1958 and set in Cabot Square in 2015 is just one of many pieces. I highly recommend to walk around this open air Art Gallery with a "Canary Wharf to Greenwich Tour" run by Unexpected London and you will learn about art, music, history and culture of the area with a few big suprises.
