Dr Jeczmien made me feel seen for the first time in my life. I had always felt that my behaviours were problematic, as this is the rhetoric for ADHD children and young adults. He was gentle, kind, and very respectful. He took the time to get to know me, and best of all, he explored alternative ways of framing assessment questions that made me realise that yes, those areas are difficult for me, but how questions are typically articulated didn't resonate. While not everyone can afford to go private, if you can in any way I'd really encourage you to consider an assessment with Dr Jeczmien as it's very good value for money given how life-changing it can be. You are seen quickly and the necessary paperwork is turned around relatively quickly too. It can save you waiting 3+ years for NHS. But do check with your GP about whether they will take you on a shared care agreement if you do end up on medication and once you have stabilised.
