  Cannot thank Dr Kahn enough for all his hard work with helping my wife with her heart problems. Dealing with medication, s-icd surgery and aftercare. Also all his help with getting scans and tests to check other family members for underlying heart conditions. We are all extremely greatful for everything he has done.

  We are so happy to find such a professional Dr not far from us. Dr Kahn has sorted all my Mums heart problems and advised on the further plans and treatments if necessary. His comms with our GP in Bradford was at the top level, on time, specific and very beneficial. His instructions were picked up by our GP without questions and were acted same day.   Dr. Kahn has been a life saver to my husband, Brian Devenport. It was very reassuring for us that when we came to meet first time, I asked him if he could help us. My husband, a non smoker, was a very active sports person throughout his life. He was a runner who did 5 to 6 miles on a daily basis. He participated in the London Marathons, Manchester Marathon, Brussels Marathon and countless 10K races. Fitting all these whilst working 80 to 100 hours a week. Both of us skied for 50 years. We also took part in Ski Walking up in the Swiss Alps. Thus when all these activities had to end after his massive heart attack in 2002, Brian thought. Dr. Soumaro, who looked after Brian then, told him he must go and try it out. He had lost 40% of the left ventricle. We went up to 13,000 feet on a glacier in Tignes and skied down. He was elated ! He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016 when he started falling on the ski slopes. As time went on his condition deteriorated. After he collapsed in Hemel Hempstead with low blood pressure and ended up in Watford Hospital for 7 days while they stabilised him. We had to look for help outside of the normal GP practices. We found Dr. Kahn. It was very evident that he understood Brian ‘s problems. We decided that we must go down the route of someone who specialises in Heart Failure. We were very impressed with the urgency to get all information from various sources to assess the health of Brian’s heart, so that a decision can be made to try to return some good heart health to Brian. We have already lost a lot of years. Dr. Kahn’s suggestion of a pacemaker, was gratefully received. Brian described his implantation day to me on the evening of his return. He felt very reassured by Dr. Kahn and the people present in the operating theatre. He placed himself in their hands in the full knowledge that the very best procedural process was going to help him improve his quality of life going forward. The information given him in stages helped him in every stage of the implantation. I picked up Brian at 5 pm. I found him to be very upbeat, smiling and relaxed. Kathy, the nurse who looked after him was so very kind and caring. On the way home, Brian chatted ceaselessly. This was something I had not experienced for a number of years. It was only 4 or 5 hours after the implantation. I was so amazed and told him so. The guidance before the procedure and after, gave us all the information we needed for Brian ‘s on going recovery and care. Much needed. In the morning, I asked Brian for his thoughts. He was so very impressed with his care from day one. He said, “Dr. Kahn has given me my life back ! “ “ I cannot believe I can see things in front of me and identify them “. A massive THANK YOU to Dr. Kahn and his team ! For us, just saying Thank You doesn’t seem enough! Hilary and Brian Devenport

  Dr Kahn and his assistant Jane are both fantastic! I had some heart issues with unexpected complications, but they were really looking after me in terms of tests and treatments as well as re-organizing appointments according to my needs. I am still attending regular consultations and I can really recommend Cardiology Manchester to anybody with any heart related concerns as the care and attention I am receiving is outstanding.   Since my father in law has become a patient of Dr Kahn’s, we have had excellent care and attention and nothing is ever too much. Jane is lovely and very caring. Dr Kahn is extremely kind, patient and compassionate. I couldn’t recommend Dr Kahn highly enough.

  Dr Khan is a lovely, caring, polite and compassionate consultant. He listened to my concerns and is very professional and I had total confidence in Dr Khan. His secretary, Jane is absolutely lovely. She spends time with you on the phone and listens to your concerns. I would highly recommend Dr Matthew Khan.
