Highly rude consultant and dismissive and did not show any empathy or any care towards my sister. She has been chronically sick for 3years and he was extremely Ill mannered towards her and dismissed her illness.very unpleasant.waste of time money and effort. Will be escalating this to the GMC.

18 months ago I had a consultation with Dr beynon when my knee swelled up so badly that I couldn’t even get in a car. I arrived at the appointment in a specially adapted taxi in wheelchair. Dr beynon thought it might be pseudo gout or an infection. He took two samples of the fluid in my knee. One was infection . Two weeks later and two more appointments, when I asked Dr Beynon where was the result of the test he took to identify whether or not I had an infection, he told me it was 99% not infection. My daughter and partner were there when he said this. By this time I had had two steroid injections and on the last visit he prescribed oral steroids. I was in the most terrible state. I couldn’t walk and I was awful pain. The following day I told my GP that I needed to go to hospital. Dr beynon was informed and he then phoned me to say I had an appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon and not to take the steroids. I was taken to the hospital the following day for more tests and the surgeon took me straight into theatre for an arthroscopy. I had sceptic arthritis. I spent 3 weeks in hospital on IV antibiotics and then a further week on a daily IV antibiotic. In my case Dr Beynon was dismissive, uncaring and incompetent. He made me feel that I was making fuss for nothing.

When I was 19 I Had complications from the chickenpox. I wasn't able.to walk straight; my balance was severely affected. I kept vomiting all of the time and was extremely tired. I've never been so tired in my life.. I was in the worst way of my life. I went to Royal Free and Mr Beynon woke me up from.sleep on rounds and actually accused me of acting limp or not cooperating full heartedly in the routine neurological check he was conducting. He sent me home. I wasn't in any condition to.. Held up by my mother and brother I made it to the exit and vomited all over the floor. My brother and mother sent me back and the hospital staff admitted me in properly, had an mri and spinal tap and later treated. This was 10 years ago. I googled his name just now because how he treated me at my lowest moment is still hard for me to bare year's on. I'll always remember him not believing me and using the tone he did with me.
