I have been under the care of Dr.Mahto for almost a year, and have been struggling with acne for 4-5 years. I can not recommend her enough! Dr. Mahto has a wealth of knowledge and empathy for her patients. At every appointment she listens carefully to what I have to say and at every stage of treatment has carefully laid out the different options, the pros and cons of each options, and ultimately only went forward with what I have felt comfortable with. Over the years I have devoted a lot of mental energy to trying to solve my skin issues and it has been exhausting. Even though her appointments are relatively expensive, I feel extremely secure in her care and she has always made me feel as though we are a team in addressing my skin issues. That feeling for me is priceless.

I went to see Dr Mahto because I have some mild acne flare ups I associate with weather changes. As someone who is very health conscious and has a history of strong medication that wreaked havoc on my body, I was disappointed with her solutions. She basically spent the whole 30 minutes talking me through the most powerful acne medications such as accutane, spironolactone, antibiotics and even the contraceptive pill… Although she made sure I had both pros and cons for each treatment, she didn’t even take a closer look at my skin or try to identify the root cause of my acne. I do not have a history of acne, I only had one other flare up in my life, more than 7 years ago, due to bad skin care products. All these to say that if you have a mild case of acne or look for a more holistic approach, save your £450. Dr Mahto offers the same treatments a GP can give your for free. I’m sure she’s a good doctor for some, but really not worth the money.

Dr Anjali Mahto has truly changed my life in a matter of months - I feel so lucky to have found such an incredible dermatologist! When I first met with Anjali I was hopeless after seeing countless dermatologists and ‘skin specialists’ with no improvement to my skin. At my initial consultation I was skeptical due to past disappointments, however Anjali was so confident that she could help me that for the first time in years I felt hopeful. Not only is Anjali professional and super knowledgable on all things skin, she is also warm, compassionate and so easy to talk to. After struggling for years with acne post coming off the pill, spending literally thousands on products/supplements (that in hindsight were really damaging my skin) I made the decision to visit Dr Mahto. I cannot begin to describe the complete transformation of my skin since I started seeing her over a year ago now. I can’t remember the last time I had a spot! In addition, Dr Mahto made me feel so comfortable, answered all my questions and she was so empathetic which was important for me. Dr Mahto is incredibly personable and made me feel at ease from the very first appointment, I almost felt as though I was speaking to a friend.
