If this was a business trying to generate clients, they would have closed up shop by now.

AVOID!! Receptionist are rude and lazy, doctors who seem to change day to day. I think the doctors must agree that the service to patients is appalling. I'd recommend Meopham Surgey who do answer phones and give appointments. I'd been a patient at downs way for 30 years and last 5 years it's gone so badly down hill it's unbelievable. The partners obviously care more about money than patient service. It's stressful enough getting through the battle with reception staff trying to even get a doctor to call you. Just read the other reviews! Worst GP surgey on the reviews!

Appalling surgery. Me and my family used to adore the doctors at istead rise and shorne. Since COVID, the practice has been extremely unhelpful, can’t even see your own GP as the receptionists say they are always busy and get told to ring 111 for any medical advice! I might as well go and sit at a hospital for several hours

I was sad to see above reviews. I have always found after over 30 years at the surgery, all the staff and doctors to be kind, helpful and very polite.

My Father has three cancers and scarily high BP. Most mornings it's above 180. His specialist says he must get an appointment with his GP ASAP. He NEEDS an appointment!!! Can't get through on the phone, not allowed to make walk in appointments. Lights all off, no staff. What IS going on exactly? They're living in a dream world.

Dire. Used e-consult, when it was open to use, tried 3 times through the day. the result of the e-consult was call for emergency appointment. called surgery, got answer, eventually, told I cannot book an appointment for today, no probs I say, dont need today but next week would be fine, reply - No, I cant book you an appointment, you will have to call back and hope you can book one on the day, if not, call the next until you get one. What a shocking way to run a surgery, no access at all to any medical requirements - disgrace

Likely the worst GP practice in Kent. Phones are never answered, rude reception. patient care at rock bottom. It takes an average of 3-4 months to get an answer from them let alone an appointment. On the rare occasion that one gets through they just cant give appointments. Complete waste of tax payers money. They need to demolish the place and start again. No process for patient care and aftercare despite being told by speciallist consultants to revisit GP. They simply dont care and have no empathy that there are sick people in the community that need access to a GP.

Horrendous surgery. Before the pandemic was fine, busy like all doctors but fine but post pandemic they’re an absolute joke. You can’t get an appointment even when e-consult tells you to contact your doctor. I’ve had issue getting an appointment for me and even my then 8 month old baby, they even gave a diagnoses of asthma over the phone without seeing her which was an incorrect diagnosis. When you want to complain they said you have to write a letter! No email Address or any like that, just an obstructive measure put in place to avoid having to deal with complaints. I’ve just driven down there as no one is answering the phone and now been told to go to A&E as they don’t want to deal with it. Disgusted
