Just wanted to write to express our gratitude for the amazing performance that you put on at our wedding reception. In the lead up to the day Mike was always on hand to answer any questions and was really helpful in the planning stages, supporting us to choose a first dance song and giving us total confidence in the band. We had trouble with the venue sound equipment on the day and Mike and the band could not have been more professional and hard-working in overcoming the challenges they faced. Despite it all they put on an amazing performance and there wasn’t a moment when the dance floor wasn’t full the whole night- even when the sound cut out (venue’s fault not theirs) and all the guests were clapping along to an impromptu acapella performance! We had given Mike a few pointers as to what kind of music we liked and the set-list that the band performed was just perfect, each an every member of the band absolutely went for it and you can tell that they have an amazing energy when they come together to perform- which is infectious and keeps everyone singing along and dancing. Special thanks to Hannah, who has a beautiful voice that will always hold a special place in our memories as she sung ‘At Last’ and we swayed along to our first dance as husband and wife . We have seen DFC in Streatham, Cadogan Hall, Pizza Express Live and now can proudly say that they made our wedding for us! Thank you to Mike and all of the band.

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! We cannot recommend The Get Downs highly enough!! The eight piece version of the band played at our daughter's wedding at Farnham Castle on 9 July 2022 and were absolutely fabulous! From the outset, communication with Mike was great and he answered all our many questions quickly and efficiently. On the day, the band arrived in good time and set up extra fast which kept our timings on track. The band were just fantastic and from the first to the last note of their two one hour sets the dance floor was completely full. All the musicians and singers were wonderful and everyone commented on how incredible they were. Definitely not your average wedding band! The Sound Engineer, Tom, also provided an 'Almost DJ' service which was great. Thank you for making the wedding reception so memorable.

What a fantastic band! We want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU for all you did at our event we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The band were amazing, and were very attentive. I can't recommend Down for the Count enough! We contacted them to hire jive dancers for a 1950s style surprise birthday party for a special 92yr old. Adam and Jasmine came to the event and were simply exceptional. They were both so friendly, welcoming and fun and put all the guests at ease immediately, their energy and talent was a joy to watch and contagious, as it encouraged everyone to want to join in on the dance floor. People of all ages were up there dancing, and it's all thanks to them for making everyone excited and relaxed. Their performance, jive lesson and dancing on and off through the night were exceptional! So many friends and family commented on how amazing they were and the energy they brought to the night. So thank you very much to them, and to Down for the count for helping to make my grandfather's birthday such a special night to remember. I will definitely be recommending yourselves to everyone for the future!

We cannot rate Down for the Count highly enough. We had a 5 person band who played for our wedding party on 23/9/21 and they were amazing! Several guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music. As musicians ourselves we were keen for a high quality band and Down for the Count were perfect. From our initial meeting through to the day itself, Mike and the band members provided a very welcoming and personal service-he was very prompt with all communication, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I have put their Christmas Album on my Christmas list :) Thank you to Mike and all the band for providing such fantastic entertainment . We would definitely book again for a special event.
