FAQ

How do you source your honey and ensure its quality?

At Dower House Honey, we have our own honey farm where we produce our honey. We also work with other beekeepers who follow ethical and sustainable practices in their beekeeping. We ensure the quality of our honey by regularly testing it for purity and freshness.

What types of honey do you offer and what are the differences between them?

We offer a variety of honey types, including wildflower honey, heather honey, and acacia honey. The differences between these types of honey are based on the flowers from which the bees collect nectar, resulting in different flavors, textures, and colors.

Do you offer any organic or raw honey options?

Yes, we offer both organic and raw honey options. Our organic honey is certified by the Soil Association and our raw honey is unprocessed, retaining all of its natural health benefits.

Can you provide information on the sustainability practices used in your honey production?

At Dower House Honey, we prioritize sustainable and ethical beekeeping practices. We use natural methods to manage pests and diseases, and we do not use any harmful chemicals in our hives. We also prioritize the health and well-being of our bees, ensuring they have sufficient food and space to thrive.

What is your return policy for honey products?

We take great pride in the quality of our honey and we stand behind our products. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 30 days of receipt and we will be happy to offer a refund or exchange.

Recently ordered the set and spring honeys from Dower House, and loved both. Having become used to standard "supermarket" honey I was very pleasantly taken aback by the rich smell and delicious flavour of Dower House's raw honey. Safe to say I won't be going back to supermarket standard and will instead be ordering more Dower House honey soon!

The Scott Family and their bees produce a range of beautifully unique honeys that change naturally throughout the seasons. The Alex Scott who sold me the honey is very knowledgeable about bees and the ecology that surrounds his hives. He also seems very happy to answer questions about the honey and process. Thank you for giving us this scrumptious British honey!

Sent them an email asking whether they had any honey left and conditions. They never responded so i decided to pay them a visit as they are just 20 minutes drive from me. The lady who answered looked annoyed to see me at the door. She rudely said she was on the phone! I politely asked if i was at the right place to which she curtly replied " We don't have any honey left" Well, may be you could reply to your emails? No? This is amateur and inconsiderate to potential customers.
