What a fantastic stay at Dove Farm over the Easter holidays! We were a party of five - two adults and three children and Barn Owl Cottage offered everything we could possibly need. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked, bedrooms were spacious with crispy fresh linen and plenty of towels for everyone. Most importantly, the entire accommodation was pristinely clean and just superb. All five of us slept really well, noting how comfortable the beds were. Jane was an amazing host and made sure we had everything we needed, we loved and appreciated her little gestures too, such as the welcome bottle of wine and easter egg that were left for us in the kitchen. Our kids absolutely loved the animals on the farm too, holding the lamb was such an exciting experience for them, not to mention feeding the donkeys and the chickens every morning. We couldn’t have chosen a better place for our trip. Alton Towers was only a few minutes drive from the cottage and so were many other local attractions and amenities. We have already recommended the barn to friends and family and look forward to returning ourselves when we visit the area again.

Went for an Easter weekend break. Lovely time with the farm animals including donkeys, baby sheep, llamas and many more. I would say bring good waterproof shoes and keep your kitchen tidy when checking out. Had a lovely time with a group of 19 and we all have more than enough space.

Fantastic. All of the cottages were clean, comfortable, cosy and extremely well-equiped. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate two 'big zero' family birthdays. Safe for the children and the dog was welcomed by Jane and also by her own two gorgeous dogs. The studio was ideal for all of us to eat and party together and again had everything we could possibly have needed and more. What a lovely time we had. See you again next year

What a fabulous weekend break. Five families sharing three independent cottages and we could all dine together in a communal converted barn. Each cottage is fabulously furnished with well equipped kitchens, cosy lounges and bedrooms with sumptious bedding. Across the courtyard shared by all three properties is the large communal dinning area - perfect for hosting large dinner parties and in our case wine tasting too. 10 minutes away is Asbourne with a selection of great eateries and many wonderful walks - we chose the stepping stones at Dovedale and trek up Thorpe Cloud to blow away cobwebs. Everyone had a fabulous time and Jane was the perfect host. We will be back!

Wow! What fabulous cottages to stay at for my daughter's family hen weekend. They were a real home from home and so well equipped - everything had been thought of. Having the studio was a real bonus and provided us with a spacious room to meet up in. The courtyard area is a real suntrap and so pleasant to sit out in - all 3 cottage doors open onto it. Jane was extremely helpful throughout the booking process and went above and beyond to make our stay so special - I can't thank her enough. We had a wonderful time and I would thoroughly recommend Dove Farm Cottages to everyone.

Dove Farm cottages were a perfect location for our family group (two couples, and two families). We had booked all three cottages for our group, and so we had access to an enclosed courtyard, where the children could play safely, and we were also able to use 'the studio' which was large enough for us all to eat together. The cottages were perfect - spacious, cosy and homely with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay (kitchen dishes, washing machines, dishwashers etc etc). Jane (host) was friendly and welcoming and the children were thrilled when she took them to see the farm animals, and encouraged them to feed the lambs. The cottages are in a great location on the Staffs/Derbyshire border, so there was lots to do. This is a great place to stay with family and friends.
