I initially met Sophy when we were exploring local doula options to support the pregnancy and birth of our first baby. She came to our home and we instantly clicked with her. We attended her one day hypnobirthing course, which was fantastic and something I’d highly recommend to expectant parents. We also had antenatal breastfeeding planning support from Sophy, which we arranged to try and set us up for success with our breastfeeding journey. Sophy would come to our home for the sessions, which was such a wonderful, personal way to receive information and support. Sophy has been available through messages throughout my pregnancy, always offering support, information and kind words. I had a beautiful home birth on the first of April and me and little man have established a beautiful breastfeeding journey so far and I definitely have Sophy to thank for both of these things. My husband has also commented on how warm, friendly and knowledgable Sophy is, and how the hypnobirthing course really helped him be the best birth partner he could be to me. And he really was! He was so informed and well prepared and it made SUCH a positive difference to our beautiful birth experience. If anyone in Portsmouth is looking for a doula, birth preparation support or breastfeeding support, I cannot recommend Sophy enough. She’s bloody wonderful.

Attended a sling library for advice and reassurance that I was using my sling correctly. Sophy is very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. Afterwards I went for a long dog walk and had no back pain using the sling. Even managed to enjoy a steak dinner this evening whilst breastfeeding in the sling!

My partner and I made the decision to hire Sophy as our doula for the birth of our second daughter, after a challenging first birth. Sophy's unwavering support and care was a pillar of strength for us throughout our pregnancy. She talked me through every wobble, and supported us through every hurdle. She brought a wonderful, calming energy into our birth space, and without her presence I don't think we would have felt so at ease and I'm unsure whether I would have felt the security and strength to have the birth that I did. (Which was the most incredible experience.) The birth itself was everything that I wanted, and so much more. I do credit so much of that to Sophy's presence and support- for both my partner and I. The best decision we made throughout my pregnancy was investing in Sophy's support. I can't quite put into words just how positively she impacted the entire experience, and we will forever be grateful to her for that 🧡

The birthing class with Sophie and Sally was invaluable. As a dad I often felt left out and pushed to the side with pregnancy but Sophy and Sally made me feel included throughout the day. They gave me some great tips on how I can be a supportive birth partner and beyond, in the post natal stages.
