Meeting Noa and choosing to have her as my pre-natal and post-natal Doula was the best decision I could ever make. A lot of people are not familiar with the concept of having a Doula and would just tell me why do you need one, why can't you ask the midwife? But you don't have the money etc etc etc the list goes on! Now this is a long review but it's worth reading if you're thinking about it! Why? Well...because I DESERVE IT! Because having support from someone who knows what you're going through and cares and listens and provides you the tools to thrive at this pregnancy/motherhood/parenthood business is just invaluable. Past the difficulties of convincing my partner I wanted to have a Doula and actually making him understand it would be good for him as well we met Noa, only Noa (she advised us to meet other Doulas as it is such an important time etc but I had made up my mind), because when she came around to meet us I just knew we'd be well supported by her. And I was not wrong, she did not disappoint and exceeded any expectations. Due to covid looming for the winter (and guess what...I tested positive before giving birth) we have decided we'd just have pre and post natal sessions as I couldn't deal with thinking she could be there and then another lock down coming or just not being allowed 2 people with me for the birth (as I was having a hospital birth due to health conditions), I preferred to have the certainty she wouldn't be there but would give me the support beforehand to prepare me as much as possible with all my worries and anxieties about birth at first, breastfeeding after and just reassuring me in general that I was doing well. We had 3 sessions during pregnancy, 2 with my partner and I, and one that we agreed it would be good for me to have a one-on-one time with Noa where she gave me some more tools like hypnobirthing tracks to listen to and help with relaxing and breastfeeding/correct positioning for latching, how to collect colostrum etc, but mainly, by being there for me. She checked in regularly to see how I was doing and it's just nice to have someone that is there for you. Even though she wasn't with me during the birth she checked in often to ensure I was OK and as relaxed as possible for a good birth. As we had covid and then Christmas came Noa only met the baby at about 4 weeks old and OMG just the feeling of having someone there was incredible. I was struggling with breastfeeding and possible tongue-tie (assessment took 8 weeks!) and we had 10 sessions of 2h each over 3 months. I was so excited to have her around (every time!) and actually knowing that there would be no judgement on anything and help was coming my way (finally!!!). If I could have done it without Noa? I'm sure I would, thats what we do, we go through all difficulties and beyond...but I certainly would have struggled much more without her nearby. After a not-what-i-expected/wanted hospital birth, i have decided if I get pregnant again I definitely want a home birth and I'll do everything I can to have Noa by my side when that happens. If you're in doubt about having a Doula, don't think twice! When you decide you'll definitely want a Doula around, definitely consider Noa because, in a nutshell, she's amazing! All the 🌟 in the universe for her and her invaluable support ❤️ To Noa, when you read this, THANK YOU, for everything ❤️

Noa provided us with Doula support in the lead up to and birth of our daughter Alma. Noa was a constant support in providing information and options, and always respected our individual choices. I felt heard, respected and supported. She was a nurturing and calm presence during the birth and let my husband and I feel as though we were at the centre of things, while also being on hand should we need her. Noa also provided postnatal support for us and being supported by her in those early days and weeks provided warmth, knowledge and a gentle listening ear while adjusting to life as a family of four and recovering from birth. Noa was the perfect combination of calm and nurturing, along with being knowledgeable and an assertive advocate when communicating our wishes and needs. I think anyone being supported by her would experience this.

Noa looked after my daughter shortly after lockdown when we needed extra support, and had no family nearby. She was such a kind caring and friendly person to have around the house. She had an amazing way of taking care of basic household tasks whilst being attentive to my girl at the same time. I chose to work with a doula as I needed support too and not just a childminder or nanny as I wanted to stay close to my little one, particularly while I was still breastfeeding. Having her around allowed me to take a break.
