I asked for Lisa's help for the first two very difficult nights at the hospital after the birth of my little boy who was born via cesarean section. I put my full faith in her and she helped me with everything that I couldn't do during my most vulnerable time. She is kind, attentive, trustworthy and very supportive and I highly recommend her if you are looking for a doula to get you through the somewhat crazy period of pregnancy and birth. It's so easy to give Lisa, our wonderful doula, five stars. I'd give her so many more if I could. Antenatal support: Lisa was an amazing support when it came to some issues we had with the birth team at our local hospital. The birth center team was understaffed and they were telling me that I may not be able to have a home birth the way that I wanted. Lisa helped me figure out who to talk to advocate for the birth that I wanted and encouraged me by checking and keeping my spirits up. Ultimately, we ended up with two private midwives contracted by the hospital for our home birth and I know that only happened because Lisa helped point me in the right direction to get advocacy support and information. Before my labor, we met a few times which helped me feel comfortable and begin to open up more. She was very curious about my birth plan and wishes, helped me think about things I hadn't considered and checked in often to make sure I was feeling positive and in good spirits. She lent me one of her favorite books (How to Have a Baby by Natalie Meddings). It was well-loved with dog-ears on many chapters, giving me a sense of what resonated with her and how she might be with me. Labor support: Lisa was a constant, calm presence during my labor, supporting both me and my husband. She was in it with us, but she wasn't intrusive. She was just there and attentive. She was hands on when needed and ready to help the entire time. She checked in with the midwives, but she also respected her role and helped us make decisions. After the golden hour, Lisa helped me shower and get tucked into bed. She checked in on us after his birth and we met to discuss my experience of the birth which was so helpful. Postpartum: We hired Lisa for several postpartum sessions. She was the only one that I could really trust my baby with. She is so calm, gentle, and tuned in to babies and I could tell that she really loved my son. He loved her too, snuggling into her and sleeping on their walks in the neighborhood. I absolutely recommend having a doula and specifically Lisa at your birth. She's an angel and we will love and treasure her forever for the gift that she gave us in making our son's birth such a wonderful experience.

Lisa is amazing!! Such a calm, empathetic and supportive presence. She took a lot of time to get to know us and our wishes and she spoke up on our behalf when needed. And she was always available via WhatsApp or phone if we needed advice, help or just someone to chat to and it was such a blessing whenever she came over to give us a bit of support and respite. It was good to have her around during and directly after labour, to help with practical things and she was a calming presence overall. Having Lisa around helped my husband to focus on the birth and my needs. She made sure our birth preferences were taken into account. Lisa was great as she was present and proactively managed things but at the same time made sure to give us and also the midwives space when needed. Lisa is really someone to lean on and she is so caring and encouraging. She proactively checked in with us throughout the pre- and postnatal time and her words often gave us new hope and comfort when we were at our wits' end. It always felt like she was totally open and available to help with our questions, worries and concerns. You could tell she really cared about us and our baby and we are so thankful that we could have her as our doula. We loved having Lisa's support.

I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone who is going through a birth experience as she is such a kind, caring and highly professional Dula who will make you feel supported, respected, and confident in your journey. As a first time mum I was very anxious about my birth and the transition into motherhood. From my first call and then initial meeting with Lisa I immediately felt calm and comfortable with her. She wasn’t fully available for my due date as she had an another client previously booked in but she went way out of her way to help support us and send us information etc. In the end I went with another Dula, who on paper had more years of experience than Lisa but I didn’t have that same good feeling about her and in the end my intuition was right. I really wish I could have had Lisa’s wonderful support through out the whole birth experience so if you have the opportunity to book her for your birth you will be very lucky. In the end I still got to work with Lisa as she came to our home in the early weeks once the baby arrived and did some overnight postnatal care with us. She took great care of myself, my new daughter and my husband and helped us settle in together.

Enjoyed many interesting chats with Lisa about all things baby 😊 and she would take my son out for walks in the sling while I had things to do, and all the time I knew he was in very good, safe hands 😊 I couldn’t recommend Lisa highly enough.

Lisa is great! I really enjoyed my antenatal refresher course with her. She is warm, caring and has good knowledge and experience that she brought to the sessions. The afternoon tea was also fabulous and a lovely way to get to know the other mums to be. Definitely recommend.
