    If it was possible to give a lower star rating I would. This hotel is very conveniently located but is undergoing extensive work which they do not detail on booking and it is not on the app or website. There is no explanation on checking in either and it is only when getting to the lift you realise something is not quite right. Health and Safety is very questionable with works going on outside the lift and ladders with no barriers. The restaurant and bar is not available and has been relocated to meeting rooms on the Mezzanine floor and is badly provided for. We walked in and walked out and went to the Victoria Plaza round the corner instead... Over breakfast there was extensive drilling which should have been programmed for after breakfast. You could not hold a conversation it was so loud and the floor vibrated, we returned to our room on 3rd floor and it was still to be heard. The staff do not apologise even when we complained they stand and acknowledge its not ideal but no apology. Albeit this morning when I had to complain again I did get a sorry but it felt too little too late. I would not stay here again, even after the work as their whole disregard for the guest is appalling.. Managing a customer expectation is paramount and there was none of that at this hotel. Do not stay here spend your money elsewhere.

    Went there for Afternoon Tea today. Whilst the menu covered the standard items such as finger sandwiches, scones and cakes the food was fairly average. Whilst the cost was only £22 you still expect a quality serving as per the Hilton brand. I ordered sandwiches suitable for a pescarterian diet but was served a ham sandwich luckily my friends who were with me noticed this and alerted me. There was no apology offered by the waiting staff.
