I must say i was very happy with my trip to Volvo! I went along on a whim after having two slightly conflicting reports on an issue on my V40 D2. The lady on the front desk was very helpful, took my information and asked one of the Volvo mechanics if they can take a look at it as it was mostly a visual issue. The mechanic took the car, looked it over whist i was offered a coffee. He then bought it back round the front, put my mind at ease and wished me a safe journey home. The car had no warranty with Volvo, is eight years old and wasn't purchased directly from them. That's wonderful from a 'main dealer'. Its nice to have a company care about their products even years down the line and not fully focus on the money aspect of things. I will definitely look towards Volvo for newer cars and the like from now on.

Having bought a 2017 V60 from another garage (regretfully) I booked said car in to Donalds for a clutch problem because after a number of emails to Volvo customer services direct and nobody answering at all, despite they web page say they would get back to you with in two days they didnt with me in four weeks. So I went to Donalds and explained the problem to Neil Franklin (the service manager) who managed to contact Volvo customer services and Volvo selekt warranty and long story short - I believe that Neil gave me an outstanding service - keeping me informed regularly (even when nothing had changed) which is the sort of customer service you need. He sorted the issue with professionalism and determination to get Volvo cars to do the right thing. Donalds should be very proud to call him one of their employees'.
