First time buying with Dominic Winter Auctioneers and I have to say a huge thank you to the staff there. Living 4 hours away I was fortunate that a family member happened to be working in the area the day after I purchased a lot in the auction. They arrived to collect unfortunately after closing time but the staff thankfully let them in, and even offered them food and drink before the 4 hour journey home. Thanks again to all the staff for going above and beyond and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from here again. 5* service and the item was fantastic too!

I saw a picture being offered by Dominic Winter in their sale on the 21st of July. I live 300 miles away and would normally bid online through “Saleroom”. I am, apparently, a hoarder. I would guess in the last five years I have bought between fifty and a hundred items through online bids. Anyway, I applied to register to bid with Dominic Winter and for the first time in my life was turned down. They refused to register me. Now imagine if there were two or more bidders for this picture and I was not one of them the vendor would be disappointed if the price was deflated by the fact I could not bid. So tell me Dominic Winter why you have refused to allow me to bid. I have paid for everything I have “won”. Why do you not want me as a customer? Why have you refused to register me? Thank you for your response. It is my fault is it? But why don't you explain why I was refused? You made a decision to refuse me permission to bid. Why? Are you claiming that someone at your place made a mistake? I asked a friend if he would register with you. Registered - no problem. Never mind telling me that if I had made a telephone call my registration would have been sorted out. Someone made a conscious decision to reject my application. I repeat: why? And am I correct in observing what you have done is detrimental to your vendor?
