I cannot recommend the Dolphin Gallery highly enough. As a regular visitor here for several years I always find Rob and the staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and I feel free to browse the art without pressure. There is always an interesting and varied display of art from across the genres and the way the gallery areas have been renovated and opened up gives a fresh, contemporary space. The sculpture garden is a lovely addition and place to contemplate a purchase, Wantage is lucky to have such a gallery!

The new owner of The Dolphin Gallery has a real reputation for being pushy and rude and he excelled himself today. It's odd he behaves as he does, as I imagine word of mouth is important for a small business in a tiny town. This was once a lovely friendly place to shop and talk about art, but under current management I won't be recommending the place to anyone, or going back.

Every time I go in here the staff seem to find some new way to be rude and unwelcoming, now only go when I have to and absolutely never buy anything expensive from them; they don’t deserve it. Wish this was just one person but I’ve been living and painting in Wantage for well over a decade now and this frigid, slightly hostile, environment is always there. Mad when you realise how few people you see in there. Can only recommend they get someone who has sales training (or any customer facing training really) for front of house.
