The Dogs Trust Newbury broke our hearts. My partner and I witnessed first hand over many visits to the kennels the disfunction and ego on display at this establishment. The photos I have attached are of a Dutch Herder called Zero who found himself in the care of the Dogs Trust by no fault of his own. He was set up to fail from the start when his first adopter chose was a single mum with no previous experience with dogs, ofcourse he was returned to the Trust the following day. The training he received after this that was witnessed by My partner and I left us confused and bemused, as was Zero. The Trust then claimed he became dangerous, and he would be taken off the adoption list. The dog I had come to know through hours of vists home and at the kennels was NOT dangerous, and guilty of mouthing at worst. And more worrisome I am sure the Trust have destroyed this young healthy animal, who needed nothing more than a healthy routine and a structured training programme. I challenge the Dogs Trust to please please prove me wrong and show me that you gave this dog the healthy routine and structured training he was lacking instead of the heart breaking to his short life with a lethal injection.
