FAQ

What is the adoption process for animals at your shelter?

At Dogs Trust Leeds, we have a thorough adoption process to ensure that our animals go to loving and responsible homes. This includes a detailed application, a home visit, and a meet-and-greet with the animal. We also provide post-adoption support to ensure a successful transition for both the animal and the adopter.

What is the cost of your services and what does it include?

As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations to provide our services. Adoption fees vary depending on the animal, but they typically include spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations. Our other services, such as training and foster care, are offered free of charge.

What services are included in your Adult Foster Care package?

Our Adult Foster Care package includes a safe and comfortable living environment, regular meals and snacks, assistance with medication and personal care, and social activities. Our trained staff also provide emotional support and help with medical appointments and transportation.

How do you ensure the safety of volunteers while they are participating in your programs?

At Dogs Trust Leeds, we prioritize the safety of our volunteers. We provide comprehensive training on animal handling and behavior, as well as proper safety equipment. All volunteers are supervised by trained staff, and potential risks are assessed and minimized. We also have emergency procedures in place for any unforeseen situations.

I think these people are crooks using non existent dogs to con people out of money. I wanted to adopt Digger and they fobbed me off with a ridiculous excuse (my daughter was 15 instead of 16) and the poor thing is still advertised for adoption years later. Do not donate these people any money.
