Jaqcui and Darren have turned my relationship with my dog and his training around. They are not only experts in their field but absolutely willing to listen and make the training work for you and the problems you are facing. I had an initial training session in January before booking my Giant Schnauzer in for residential while I was away on holiday. I could not have left my dog with anyone else felt relaxed- they sent me regular updates and progress. When I came back not only did they completely run me through the training I needed to continue with but sent me a program to follow. I actually enjoy taking my dog out for walks now, he is attentive, walks loose on the lead and is relaxed. Jacqui and Darren took time to show me exactly what to do and help me feel confident in reinforcing positive behaviours and have been really helpful with any follow up questions. I cannot thank them enough and I only wished I had starting training with them sooner.

We had an hour consultation with Darren and Jacqui (12th Feb). Our GSD Storm is very reactive and nervous of people. They were both extremely knowledgeable and gave us lots of helpful information and tips of how to control and start conditioning Storm from starting in the house, garden and continuity onto the street and outside environment. Highly recommend Extremus if you need constructive and professional help with your dog.

Had a one hour consultation with Darren and it was so much more useful than the many hours and hundreds of pounds we’d spent with other trainers. He gave us loads of tips for handling our dog who is reactive to other dogs, and his help has made situations more manageable for us and our dog. I was actually considering the residential training with Extremus, but Darren was very honest in his approach and rather than try to sell us further training he gave us a lot to try at home and recommended we try these things first. Highly recommend Extremus for reactive and nervous dogs.

Highly knowledgeable and professional people. Kept me informed with my dogs progress throughout his board and train and provided an excellent and informed handover to take away and carry on with his training at home.

Sam, my 2.5 year old cocker spaniel, underwent the 4 week residential programme at Extremus in July this year. He often became very over stimulated and pulled hard on the lead, and I needed some help. Both Jacqui and Darren worked hard with him, and sent me regular updates via WhatsApp. I could see a positive change as soon as I picked him up, and while I still had to keep putting in the work they taught me every day to reinforce what he had learned (and still do) as he tried to test me, perseverance and some helpful tips from Jacqui and Darren along the way helped us get to a place where he is now much easier to walk, engages with me, and has better manners in the house. As a cocker spaniel, he is naturally excitable, but I’m so glad he spent time at Extremus, as we are both much happier, more relaxed and enjoy our walks much more. Thank you Jacqui and Darren, I will happily recommend you to anyone who needs a little extra help.

After training from Darren we were able to help our rescue dog 12 months old to begin his new life with us - calmer and so much happier, he went from fright/fear reactive to cars - would want to chase them, other dogs - he would appear aggressive and want to launch at them. Learning from Darren has been a life changer taking our dog out and about for walks, ok we have the odd blip if we are complacent and something new appears for the first time which we haven't noticed but our dog has clocked, but we go straight back to basics as taught by Darren and the situation is overcome straight away - recall is a little hit and miss but that is working progress and progress is being made, we have however totally conquered Sam wanting to herd our donkeys and goats. Without Darren's guidance we would still have a looney dog - dangerous to himself and others so we highly recommend Extremus Dog Training

We owe so much to Extremus for all the work they have put into our GSD, Rosie and for all the knowledge they have shared with us on how to correctly manage Rosie. After an initial assessment, Rosie spent a number of weeks with Darren and Jacqui on residential training. They covered basic obedience, worked on her reactivity to other dogs and most of all they spent a lot of time working on a calm state of mind for Rosie. Rosie is a completely different dog since returning from Extremus, she makes correct choices more often and when she doesn't, we are better equipped with the knowledge from Darren and Jacqui on how to deal with her. Neighbours and family have all commented on how calm and disciplined Rosie is now. We've even managed to take her to a family BBQ, she was calm and disciplined the entire time. This might seem simple for some but for a complex dog like Rosie, this is a big step forward. All thanks to Extremus, Rosie is now completely manageable and she's a happier, calmer dog. If you are thinking of sending your dog to Extremus, don't even think about it, just do it!

Thanks both once again for aiding us with one of ours. A dog in much need that we can now walk! Invaluable advice over and above the minimum with ongoing support. Your patience is a virtue! Not the first and not the last time we will come to Extremus. Long term trusted relationship going on 7 years! Couldn’t recommend anyone better 🙏 ~Sam & Huw
