I just feel so thankful that I came across Oliver. We own a sensitive Vizla, strong willed, clever, big and a real challenge. From the first training session, Oliver took the time to observe his behaviours, noticing his sensitivity to touch, despite being super sociable and sensitivity to noise. With the family able to understand Rufus better and accommodating his needs, he has been much, much calmer and happier at home. We went on to have gun dog skills 1-2-1 sessions (which we are still attending) which have helped to unpick all sorts of little things which have been holding Rufus back. He is now far more relaxed at all times and able to focus during training sessions and walks rather than being on high alert and being unpredictable. He is less stressed, with reduced barking and more relaxed with visitors. I feel confident as his owner for the first time in 3 years. I can not recommend Oliver highly enough.

Recently Started Gundog training in a small group with Oly. He has a wealth of knowledge which means he has lots of ideas to deal with each individual dog’s needs. It is also a lot of fun!

Cannot praise Oliver and his behaviour consultation enough! My partner and I are first time dog owners and our dog's behaviour towards certain triggers was baffling us. We assumed it was fear based but nothing we tried worked and I was at my wits end on how to cope with it. I booked the consultation without much hope after a very disappointing puppy school course that was ultimately useless, but Oliver was absolutely fantastic. He was able to tune us out and just spend some time focusing on our dog in the environment and with other dogs, and was finally able to explain why Eddie was behaving the way he was. We learned some new techniques, practiced and asked loads of questions and left feeling confident, comfortable and finally ready to help our beloved pup! We also got follow up material and the specifics of what Ollie had analysed about Eddie in an email which was super helpful to refer back to. If you're looking for help with behaviour or just someone who really knows his stuff, you can't go wrong with these guys!

Highly recommend Dog Smart. From the first time I met Oliver I knew I’d found the right person for us. After struggling with some really difficult behavioural changes with my cocker spaniel and being desperate to find answers, meeting Oly was a turning point. He took lots of time to observe my boy and was patient and calm building his trust. He introduced me a to lovely Physio too and between them diagnosed problems with his hind quarters. A CT scan revealed hip dysplasia and spondylosis of the spine! That was only part of the picture though and with Oly’s knowledge and support we’re gradually identifying more physical and emotional triggers. I could write an essay here, but I’ll just say that Oly is kind, patient, knowledgeable and is passionate about what he does and genuinely wants to help. My boy adores him, and not just because he always has treats in his pockets, but because he knows he speaks dog. He understands and listens to him and he knows it. Oly has also been incredibly supportive to me and makes me feel listened to as well, without judgement. Our case is ongoing but I have hope that with Oly’s continued support we will get there!

We had a problem with our Cavapoo stressing at all sorts of things, I was recommended to contact Dog smart who came to out to our home to see our dog and us. The visit was so informative with lots of do's and don'ts Ollie was fantastic. We have implemented lots of Ollies recommendation's and the dog is much better. The whole experience was fantastic! We have also been doing training with Becks which we both get so much from Jack (the Dog) and myself have a great time..... All the best Ian

I have had beca as my dog trainer since my boy was four months old, we have gone from puppy smart training all way up to agility training. She is amazing with him as well as myself, she has amazing knowledge and patience and I would 100% recommended her and Dog Smart training and behaviour!!

I can't express how thankful we are for the help we've received here. We contacted Dog Smart Training after struggling to get our underweight pup to eat, and have had amazing advice and suggestions. We are learning to work with her and understand and be mindful of her behaviour and needs. It's definitely a small steps process for us and our pup but there has been some weight gain after months of a stable weight, which she could not have achieved without the amazing help from Oliver.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dog smart from the moment they replied to my first enquiry I knew we were in great hands. Me and my husband felt so uplifted after our first two sessions with Oliver, he is so natural at what he does and really knows his stuff. He brings out the best in our boy. There’s a long journey ahead but the difference between oli and our previous trainer is miles apart! It really helps to be able to connect with the trainer to have a sense of unity on this journey to feel supported, to feel comfortable to ask questions and get the best advice to benefit our boy. From the moment you just took time to stop and analyse fletch and to let him blow off some steam and observed what he was all about we knew we made the right choice! So thank you for giving us the faith and reassurance we needed to embark on this educating journey! We have been practising everything we went through already and fletch is responding beautifully to what we have learnt so far. Dog Smart Training came highly recommended to me by my neighbour, and I can honestly say they are fantastic, Oliver is currently training myself and my 5 month old puppy and I have been so impressed by how my boy is coming on, both Oli and Becs have a “kind” way about them, as well as being very supportive and knowledgeable, I will continue my training with Dog smart and look forward to gun dog training as well as dog agility in the future, I also like the fact we are outside in natural surroundings and not in a hall.
