It is an appalling cervice . Their work attitude is horrible and in fact the whole idea sounds well but the way they deal fails well behind the standard. It is a care provider but not registered as care provider . They have this main house but many single properties in the area too. I am very unfortunate to live next one of their tenants . The man is left to drink as much as he wants and no consequence. In the property there is often all sort midnight guest which leave with arguments. Smashing bottles or kicking the door. Sometimes they are beating each others just right at my doorsteps. Drugs are also used in the acomodation. The noise is unbearable but often we fear for his life too. All this doesnt seam to botther management of the Docherty projects. I complained ceveral times in the last 4 years to them but they failed to resolve the issues and to take them seriously. I am surprised to find out that neither Manchester City Council control their activities nor any other Governmental body I am aware of . How this is possible

Absolutely terrible. I was moved into one of the houses these guys run and it was disgusting. Rubbish piled high in the front and back garden and the inside stank because of all the rotten food that was lying around. My housemate was a nutcase who ran in in the middle of the night shouting his head off and breaking things in the kitchen and he gave his key to his mates who were squatting in there. I packed up my bags and went back to sleeping rough. It was safer. A few weeks later I was talked into moving back. True, it had been cleaned up and the other guy had gone, but one day I came home and found myself locked out of my room, which had all my stuff in it! I cut my losses - which was all my street gear - and went back to sleeping rough. This time with only my day bag and a sheet I grabbed in passing to sleep in. They're real nasty, these. Don't go near them.

Docherty house is a project to help and house individuals who became addicted to one thing or another. I help by talking to some of the residents and chat with the staff.
