We loved it so much that we got an annual pass. It took about an hour and a half to drive from Ipswich to Westfield shopping centre where I parked for £10 for the day. We walked about ten minutes up the road to the Discover Children's Story Centre. The staff were incredible. Our tyre had blown out that morning, so I could no longer make the morning slot. I called them and left a message explaining what had happened, and they moved me to the afternoon slot. After a tyre change and a drive, we got there and were not disappointed. There is a place to put your buggy, and there are lockers available, too. The Rocket box exhibition was brilliant. The kids loved running around, finding all the words and playing with the sets from some of their favourite books. The sets were beautifully created and extremely interactive. There were costumes for the kids to wear if they wanted to. After the exhibition, we explored the rest of the spaces. It was pouring with rain, but we still enjoyed playing outside in the imaginative sensory garden. It smelt incredible and the playhouses were just on point. There is so much to see and do from creative activities, story readings, outside space, upstairs codebreaking and of course the exhibitions. I really loved the attention to detail with the handrails. Having the lower one just makes it so much more accessible for little ones who love to be independent.
