Fil, the ‘owner’ of Dirty Cats encompasses the very worse of this industry. It’s my strongest advice that you avoid him and this company by finding services elsewhere. He is built on false promises. He continually couldn’t adhere to deadlines or budgets, which were firmly agreed to. He fails to understand the basic build concepts instead will push his own specific agenda/ideas. He will never take responsibility for his failures, whether deadlines, budget or quality of works. If his services were free it would still be unsatisfactory. He will give you excuse after excuse, leaking them as much as my £2000 fuel tank leaks fuel. Which, unfortunately, is a lot. I could list every failing he made during my 3 month build with Dirty Cats, I could list every excuse and give examples of failure after failure, but I will save you pain, and me re-living them. Yet, if this review isn’t enough to persuade you to look elsewhere, then reach out to me and I will talk you through my experience with Dirty Cats. If I had the time, and energy, I would attempt to reclaim the costs of my build via legal proceedings. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Please, just stay away. Edit. 6/3/23. I’ve been waiting for the day Fil would cause himself further embarrassment by replying to this review rather than actually fixing the copious amount of problems he has caused me. I am responding to Dirty Cats reply to my review above. I will add further details of how this one person team does business then you will be able to form your own opinion. In Oct 22, after 6 weeks of stewing on the original and accurate review I penned above, Fil reached out to me. During so he apologised for his childish outbursts (don’t worry Fil I won’t attach the screenshots) and said after he thought long and hard about it he understands that he “messed up” and that he would “go above and beyond” to fix his past errors. In this case, that would be re-lining and painting the tank he sourced and fixing the engine oil leak (for the 3rd time) and gearbox fault. Fil reassured me by saying, “don’t worry I will sort it all out, you won’t have to put your hand in your pocket.” So here we are 6 months later. The tank still hasn’t been lined or repainted, but it does make a lovely windowsill trinket. The gearbox was fixed by another garage two weeks ago. The engine is still leaking oil. So over the course of the year and with no less that than £6000 spent, I have a custom bike I took to Dirty Cats, with a new set of tires and a new speedometer. I of course have a windowsill motorcycle tank, always wanted one of those, and a custom seat that doesn’t fit the bike as my old tank is back on the bike. Fil has been accurate in some parts of his response, he did email LV Customs that did the work on the tank, and told them they should refund me. However Fil being Fil has been dishonest about me being the person who identified LV Customs as the business ‘I’ wanted to do this work. Oh you guessed it. That was Fil, he was responsible for sourcing the tank, his recommendation to have a smaller tank fitted, then ensuring that tank was painted (I picked the colour) and fitted to the bike. Sounded so simple at the time. Oh Fil. To think you even had to tell porky pies about me picking an the engine engineers too! Naughty. It’s like I have a phone book of custom motorcycle specialist in my phone and choose to come to you. Anyway, back to the point, Fil also recommended that I have the engine rebuilt and painted. He sourced the garage. With no firm evidence, given all the subsequent faults, this was done… oh apart from the painting, that of course wasn’t done. Fil for the last 3 weeks had been trying to blackmail me into removing this post before he pays for the gearbox fix. When that didn’t work he threaten court. I welcome that day. Anyway, all my points from my original review remain extant, and if you want to be Fils next customer *cough victim then you do so knowing my experience and you have my strongest recommendation to avoid him.

Recently I had my Harley Davidson mid controls changed to forward controls with Phil. I ordered the controls compatible with Vance and Hines 2 in to 1 exhaust but it didn’t fit. Phil had to fabricate the break paddle accordingly. It was quite a tough job but he took his time and did a great job at the end. I was so worried thinking it was a complete waste of money. However, Phil made it happen. I highly recommend this place. Especially for HD owners.

I needed my chain tightened and Phil fitted me in immediately and while doing the chain he also checked the bike over and gave me masses of great advice.
