    Previously worked here. You are over worked with not a great pay. There is no communication from senior management. There is no consideration for the work you put in and how much you do. Lack of 121 support/ supervisions. Massive safeguarding concerns. Lack of career progression to progress higher up. But you will be told in your interview you potentially can. It’s more of a case from bouncing from one contract to another when it’s ended. Caseloads can rise very high (30-40+). Many workers will leave including senior staff but replacements will not be found in the right time frame. As a result of this other team member will be left with more responsibilities. You will be burnt out and exhausted but this won’t matter as long as KPI’s are being reached. It’s all about the contracts and how many contract they can get and less about employee welfare. Many workers see this just as job however in this line of work it should be a passion and you wanting to make changes. Your concerns will not rise and be dealt with so no point even telling management about them. Instead it will be ignored and brushed under the carpet no matter how many times it’s been raised as those in senior positions will not care enough. It will only be looked into when it becomes a problem (I.e. when staff feel they need to leave). Not enough training provided, would benefit from specialised training. However they wont do this as it costs. Even though there is a massive underspend. You will practically need to beg for stuff for your clients. You will be thrown in the deep end potentially dealing with high risk clients with little to no supervision. Sick pay is a joke. New starters after probation and those that have been working less than 2 years will only get 2 weeks sick pay. Maternity pay is also a joke considering the purpose of the charity is to empower women. It’s 12 weeks full pay then SSP. It’s meant to be an all inclusive charity organisation. The organisation is mainly full of white cisgender women with little to no clue of those from a different race & LTBTQ+ community. Same higher up (apart from ceo who everyone is scared of and if she is to attend the centre you will have to move your car for her or free up a desk space for her. So much for inclusivity) would benefit from black/ethnic minorities, LTBTQ+ communities to be at more senior positions. To better develop the organisation/ clients and colleagues. The team has no clue how to deal with women coming through the door who may be trans or identify themselves differently and no cultural understanding. But they will believe they are as they hold festive celebrations. Lastly you will get paid 2 weeks in advance so if you leave you will owe 2 weeks wage. Yearly cost of living bonus, if you leave you will have to pay the remainder. So bare in mind they will do this so they can keep you there for as long as possible. Perk: good experience and looks good on your CV. Otherwise don’t bother applying.
