KINGSTON UPTON THAMES SITE Absolutely brilliant service. We were completely lost in the Process of everything, Steven and his team really helped us step by step. Keeping us updated all through the process. I live abroad as needed to return home as quickly as possible, he gave me all of the information on how to declare the ashes to customs, with all the right paperwork to do so. Steven moved mountains to make sure that my mum's ashes were delivered to us the same day of the cremation, in the 2 urns ordered . ( one for me abroad and one for my aunt) I can't thank you enough!!

I was tasked by my father to organise my stepmothers cremation and at very short notice. The care home had already moved her to a chapel of rest at a local funeral directors, around one hour after she passed. This was a concern as she had very specific requests around her last wishes. Especially where her ashes would be scattered and this funeral director could not accommodate this. I then discovered we were under obligation to even used that company for the cremation, which to be honest they were not very forthcoming with and the price tag that came with it appeared to be very steep from the little information I could glean from their website. They were reluctant to discuss this over the phone with me and insisted I meet with them in person to get these details. Being 250 miles from dad made this impossible to do. I started looking for a company that would manage this from start to finish and came across Steven Cairns at Direct Cremation. They were the only company who were able to scatter her ashes in the same place my stepmothers own mothers ashes were scattered, in the town they were both born in. The cost was immaterial it was this part of the process we were interested in. Steven took control of the situation and managed everything from there on in they asked for no monies up front and even settled the bill from the funeral directors where she was laying to rest prior to being paid by us. Steven was very familiar with the new system for the registration of death, which had only been in use in Surrey for a few days and assured me the delays were normal and held my hand through the process. We were kept informed of when the cremation was, and when the ashes were scattered. Steven even sent me photos of the beautiful magnolia tree he scattered the ashes beneath. All of this help, care, consideration and added benefits only cost less than £1,500 for a cremation with no service including the scattering of ashes at a place of my stepmothers choice and the bill from the chapel of rest. Excellent service excellent price all delivered with the care and consideration both dad and I would highly recommend this company and dad wants me to use Steven again when it is his turn.

Exceedingly satisfied by the service I received from Direct Cremation. I contacted Direct Cremation immediately after my dad passed away. Within two hours, three individuals arrived in suited attire to transport my dad, they were very gentle and caring in handling my dad's body with dignity and respect. Steven, The service director was extremely diligent and communicated with me from start to finish. As I live abroad, I intended to take my dad’s remains back home to the US with me. He was kind enough to guide me through the entire process step by step and go over the requirements involved to transport human remains from one country to another. As I needed return back home, he expedited the cremation for my dad which was done within a week. I was provided with the exact date and time my dad would be cremated, which was good to know, as I informed all our family members to light a candle and say a prayer at that specific time in remembrance of dad. The service director, personally hand delivered my dad’s ashes to me at my hotel, which I thought was very professional and thoughtful of him to do so. He went through the final documents with me to be certain I had everything needed to board my flight so I could take my dad’s remains home with me. Direct Cremation provides a great service at very reasonable costs! Thank you, for making this process a little less stressful by being so helpful! Annemarie C
