I could not agree more with the reviews already given. Reception stuff speak to me every time like their doing me a favour where it’s really your job. Always unpleasant and heartless. I phoned up to get more prescribed milk for my baby as she’s allergic to cows milk so can’t just nip out to the shop and get it. One of the reception stuff told me she’s going to put me on a list for them to call me but probably won’t be today and that was like 10am. When I have told her I don’t have much formula left.( didn’t care) The next day I called again and she said the same thing that I’m on a list and someone will call me today, wasn’t even trying to help. At 2.00pm that day, still not a phone call. Decided to call them again and all I herd was that the prescription is in boots … well (thanks for calling and letting me know about that) . Prescription was then to be ordered yet for another 2 days wait ! So if you have a baby that there is probability you won’t be able to give them milk …. You can imagine how I was feeling. Just terrible experience!

This doctors surgery is a shambles! The reception staff are a disgrace their attitudes stink which is a shame because the doctors themselves are lovely. Iv been refused appointments for my children one of which was only a few weeks old and I had to go through HV also had to go through HV for urgent prescriptions because I was refused by reception staff. Just been refused another appointment for my child who isn’t urgently sick but needs medical attention, I was warned about this surgery when we moved….I will registering elsewhere and writing to the health board!

Reception is useless and can’t be bothered. Every time we phone up with a problem, even when it’s to do with a child, all we get is “I’ll see if I can get the doctor to phone you”. Then there’s no phone call. All day. So it has to be chased. By which time yours/child’s problem as worsened or not improved. No wonder people end up in A&E when they don’t need to be there and the A&E is over crowded. You may have to wait for a few hours but at least you get physically seen by a medical professional rather than spoken to over the phone. In the process of changing GP.

I am a little confused. The staff are fantastic, or at least who I have spoken to on the phone. I take Sotalol and Mertazapine tablets that I was given on repeat from my old surgery in England. My partner takes CoCodamol and Amitriptyline that she is also on repeat. We moved to Scotland in September of last year, still haven't been able to see a GP due to the current circumstances. So we phone and ask for a repeat, and I was given my Sotalol but refused my Mertazapine temporarily. And my partner was straight out refused both until a GP rang her. We work full time and are not able to have our phones on us 24/7. This resulted in us running out of our meds, being in extreme pain, having to work and still not seeing a GP? I understand that the current circumstances are difficult, but we also have our health, work and finances to worry about. When you aren't given the meds you need, everything is very stressful and worrying. What is more difficult is trying to ring them! It is either constantly engaged or when it does connect, you're connected automatically to the NHS 24Hr service which does not help.
