We had a voucher for 33% off the food bill, so we went here on a Monday night. Unfortunately the place was empty, there were only about 8 people in the entire restaurant at 7:15pm. By 8pm, there was only me and my wife left in there, and they were already closing up the restaurant. The food was OK, but when it arrived, there were items missing off the individual dishes when compared to the description on the menus. I don't know if this was done deliberately to save costs, whether the chef was incompetent or they had run out of certain items. The chips were stale and had obviously just been warmed up from earlier in the day. The portions were also quite small, and I didn't feel I'd got value for money. They service staff, however, were really nice and polite. I feel the Dilke is struggling to survive at the moment, with no customers attending, small portions and items being missed of the food descriptions it will be quite a while before I would entertain going there again.

Had great meal here today, not been for a while, how it has changed. Staff were very pleasant, food was hot, and of very good quality, prices are reasonable, plenty to choose from, wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place 😊😊😊😊😊

Table was ready when we arrived, when it came to the waitress taking orders we had a long list given to us of items which were unavailable which included items like steak, chicken dinner, salad, coleslaw plus more.. a few of us had to change our meals due to this. We found HAIR in one of the meals, we sent this back and they did bring out a fresh meal how ever by the time this was brought out everyone else had eaten their food.. One member of our party had a mixed grill but due to having no steak opted for extra chicken which didn't get given so we had to ask for this and by the time it came out he had eaten all of his meal, the 1 piece of steak they did have left was asked for medium to well and it was like charcoal.. We had to ask for the tartar sauce to go with the scampi, the smothered chicken was dry & had to ask for extra bbq sauce as it had hardly any on. Due to us complaining we were offered 1 free dessert and 1 free drink which we ordered but it was never brought to us and the meal which had the hair in was taken off the bill. I visited the women's toilets & they smelt awful like they hadn't been cleaned for a while. All in all none of us will ever return to the dilke again.. out of 10 meals only 3 of those were any good and 2 of those were kids meals.
