DT Dance is a professional, yet friendly, ballet school where dancers young and old can develop their skills in a supportive, constructive environment. As an adult dancer, I thoroughly enjoy my classes, which I attend three times a week, and through which I am constantly learning. The individualised corrections and attention each dancer receives is second to none, allowing us to develop and grow in our ballet education. Just because it's an adult class, it doesn't mean things aren't taken seriously! I've so far done one exam and two shows with Dilek - which are always professional and a lot of fun. The consistently good exam results also speak volumes about the quality of the teaching at DT Dance. The community atmosphere and supportive environment means it really is like a ballet family. Seeing the little ones progress through the levels and gain skills such as spatial awareness, musicality, coordination and teamwork is also delightful to see. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend DT Dance to anyone - of any age - who would like to begin, or get back into, ballet. The studios are central, and highly convenient location-wise -- the fact many students travel in for quite a distance to attend Dilek's classes is testament to her fantastic teaching!

Dilek has taught my daughter since she was an enthusiastic/shy three year old, and me since I was an awkward/keen 40+year old with zero dance experience. We both get a great deal from her and her teachers, who show boundless patience, professionalism and give focused tuition. The team is dedicated and build a lovely sense of community. Their approach encourages a love of dance and movement. I really enjoy my Wednesday evening classes - wouldn’t be without it!

If you are looking for adult ballet classes in London, I highly recommend DT Dance. I've been attending their adult ballet classes since 2015 and have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of instruction and overall experience. As someone who trained in ballet in my younger years, I took a long break from dancing before deciding to take a taster class at DT Dance. I'm so glad I came back - Dilek is simply a wonderful teacher. She takes a detailed approach to teaching ballet theory and provides personal corrections to each and every student. What sets her apart from other ballet teachers is her great sense of humor and inclusive teaching style. As someone who is curvy and doesn't have a typical ballet physique, I've felt welcomed and supported every step of the way. When I first started, I took one class per week, but I've since upgraded to the unlimited class option. This is an excellent value package and includes RAD syllabus classes, PBT (progressing ballet technique), and pointe work. Thanks to the instruction and opportunities provided by DT Dance, I was able to take my Grade 7 exam last year at age 33 and received a distinction. I'm now working towards the Intermediate level and excited to continue on my ballet journey.

She loves her classes and the improvement in her has been wonderful to watch. I have been taking adult classes for almost 6 years. Professional to the core, but welcoming and patient with the children, I couldn’t recommend the school highly enough!

I have 2 daughters (13 yrs old and 10 yrs old) and they both attend Ms Dilek’s ballet classes. They enjoy their classes a lot. They have also advanced very fast with Ms Dilek thanks to her disciplined approach combined with humour and genuine fun. My older daughter really likes the ‘community’ feeling and she made some very good friends. I highly recommend this school if you have a serious interest in ballet and you also want to keep the joy and fun of learning.

My little girl first started with Dilek when she had turned 2 and was wearing a nappy for her first ever show, Alice in Wonderland,. Dilek trusted that she would rise to the occasion and so she did. Dilek expects the best from her students and consequently she produces great things. There is a positive atmosphere at the school and my child has made lifelong friends there.The shows are wonderful and of such a high standard. .Dilek has been a constant presence in my daughter’s life , no more importantly than during both Lockdowns when Dilek’s commitment, energy and kindness was a weekly joy in her life. Linda and Dilek are wonderful, kind, patient but exacting teachers and we are hugely fortunate to have such a ballet school in Waterloo!
