I'm extremely disappointed by Digital Theatre's obtuse refusal to address a straightforward situation: namely to give me access to the recording of the Anna Chancellor/Toby Stephens 'Private Lives' that I paid £10.99 for way back on 23/07/2017. I suppose I should have smelled a rat at the time: their website informed me that they no longer supported the downloading of video files to customers, even though they have already been bought. Instead, the purchaser can view their purchase(s) via the DT website, like Youtube. OK – not ideal but it did work and I enjoyed watching PL for about a month before visiting their website one day, to discover I that their website had been very nicely revamped and modernised. I tried to log in to my account as usual, but found the stark message that DT 'no longer supports purchases'(!) and that I would now have to pay a monthly fee of £7.99, to view what I'd already paid for. My attempts at addressing the anomaly with DT were met with emails from them containing a cut & paste copy of their website's FAQ page, and claims that "the introduction of our new website has had an influx of support queries and it may take a little longer than usual to reply to your questions." The first of these emails I received on 30 August 2017 and the most recent on 24 November 2017; but still I have had no access to my Private Lives at this time of posting (21 Dec 2017). That's 3.5 months without access so far. And, in an ironic display of chutzpah, I've just received a customer feedback questionnaire from them! Here it is. (I've just noticed 'Keny Mclean' and 'TInabf' have had similar problems with DT too; see below.)

As a user of Digital Theatre I can honestly say that nothing comes close to the incredible range of filmed productions and educational resources you can access - whether as a teacher or student of English or Drama at any level on Digital Theatre. If you are a school, college or university then I would have no hesitation about recommending Digital Theatre - ask them for a demo or a free trial to see it for yourself and tell them Justin sent you!
