I changed to this GP just before Christmas and it's the worst thing I could have done ....I cannot get an appointment .I carnt do same day appointments I work and have to plan....since registration I have had no contact from a doc and when I tried to book an appointment it was stressful and they declined and told me to go to the pharmacy...I am looking to change doctors again .I think they have favourite patients that they see routinely and everyone else gets no treatment or time...avoid this practice at all costs.not caring at all

I have considered writing a review for this GP a few times now as every interaction I have with them is unpleasant so here we go. Firstly, a technical issue - every time I opt for a telephone appointment I am appointed a face to face. I am usually penalised in some way or another for this. The nurse I am always allocated is extremely judgemental - a judging expression and tone. Got visibly frustrated with me one time. I dread my appointments with her. The reception staff were abominably rude to me one time due to a misunderstanding about checking in (there wasn’t anyone at the desk when I got there but a sign saying go through so I did and then I was told off in a rather vicious manner). Both of these occasions were during a very low and difficult time for me health wise I’ll add - I was very upset for the rest of the day following these interactions. And this morning the doctor I spoke with was so short and rude and couldn’t have sounded less like she wanted to speak with me. Lots of sighs and very blunt “ok fine” ‘s. The health related outcomes of all of these situations are not what I am disgruntled by - it is the way in which I have been treated, spoken to etc. And it’s again and again and again. There are other times I could reference too. I’ve only not moved elsewhere because it’s close by and I don’t contact them regularly any more anyway. If the online form could be sorted out and the staff could approach situations with some sensitivity and manner, it would be a much more tolerable practice.

This GP practice have basically made it impossible to make any appointments. They have a system where you can only make same day appointments via their website and it has to be done between 7-9am. Only when you go on the website between those times there are no forms available to request appointments. So essentially you just cannot make any appointments. I understand there is a pressure but you cannot make it impossible to make appointments to manage this.

I'm surprised to see all these negative reviews, maybe it's from before the change of system. I have had only positive interactions with Didsbury Medical Centre. The form to get an appointment is super easy to fill in and the doctors contact you on the day. I have called reception twice and get through quickly to lovely and very helpful reception staff. Dr Kent called me this morning to offer me a cancellation slot and fitted me in this afternoon - I'm very grateful! Brilliant doctor. My previous GP's was impossible to contact via any means of communication, so I'm very glad I have found this medical practice.

Intensely patronising and does not adhere to NICE guidance on several matters.

This practice does not do routine appointments!!!! You can only get emergency same day care (if you are first in the queue!) So you cannot speak to them about chronic conditions or plan ahead with appointments. They are effectively NOT a GP practice. They will not contact you either. AVOID if you value your blood pressure! So stressful to deal with! Such a shame as the one time in 3 years I actually did see a doctor he was very good

For my personal opinion, I cannot recommend this practice based on the way Dr Jafari "treated" me on my visit. She denied me any help or treatment. When I arrived, I was polite and respectful, greeted and thanked for taking the time to see me and explained my ongoing problem, she told me that referrals will take 18 months and denied referring me to a specialist, telling me to just go private if it's a pressing issue despite me telling her I lack the funds to do so. The previous GPs at this practice have noticed my enlarged blood cells and told me to get another blood test ...which was also denied by Dr Jafari. All she said was to keep taking an antihistamine I have taken since May without any improvement, but worsening of my condition. I don't have a problem with an 18 months wait, I understand the NHS is overloaded with patients and work, my problem resides in the fact that Dr Jafari didn't even offer any suggestions how to maintain or alternatively treat my condition in the mean time with different medication, and refusing to even get a referral started. Even though I explicitly told her the condition is so bad it's interfering with my life and making me depressed.

I must admit that I was taken aback by the uncompassionate nature of a certain GP at DMC. She not only failed to give any sort of clarification about my baby's health concerns, but was also surprisingly rude. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion.
