In the past I've had excellent service from this practice. But the past 12 months it's a nightmare to get through to make an appointment to speak to the Dr. I started calling at 8:20 this morning but line was engaged. Kept redialling every couple minutes to eventually be put in the cue of 9 callers at 9:23. ..after 26 minutes of ringing the receptionist picked my call up to say unless it's an emergency call back tomorrow. As a shift healthcare worker myself I can not keep trying every day for an appt. Its not an emergency now but will be if i dont ger to discuss changing my hrt medication asap because its not working for me!

I raised a concern about a bacteria that my partner caught and requested a test for myself. This was in January, got the tests, sent them back and never heard a word since. I called the doctor again in February and asked them to find what is going on and why no one knows anything about the results. She didn't even know which company sent those tests and blamed the royal mail for the delays... Today 23rd March, no one has contacted me for the results. There's nothing in the NHS app regarding the results either. This shows how little they care about you! Very disappointing!

At these times I think the general thing is the same with all doctors. Cannot get appointment... Hardly ever manage to have face to face.... Rarely see or have contact with your assigned doctor who only works a couple of days a week.

So hard to get through on the phone. Online consultations use to work well but have been unavailable the last few times I needed to use it. However, there are some good things too. The doctors are very caring and have been great at seeing my son when needed, and the repeat prescription service on the app works really well. If only it was easier to get in touch.

When I moved to didcot, I walked here to apply for the GP. I waited in line for 20 minutes while the receptionist shouted incoherently at an old man with hearing issues, who was apologetically saying he couldn't hear, and asking her to write it down. She told him to stop being a nuisance. Staff seem abusive. When I got to the counter, the receptionist asked "what do you want?". I said I wanted to sign up, and she asked me my address. When I told her, she turned me away because there was another GP that was the same distance away (not closer, the same distance). She wanted me to walk for another 40 minutes to get to the other GP to sign up. Terrible, terrible service, so I may very well have dodged a bullet. I wouldn't want to send my loved ones here.

Dr Telford and Dr Olavesen are excellent, very competent, friendly and approachable. Another female doctor also attended my daughter and while she was quite rude and aggressive on the phone, she was quite nice in person in the end. Never had an issue with the receptionists either - they do their job alright. Maybe we’ve been treated so well because we always went for our daughter who is 1 yo and I’m a young mama so they are quite nice and understanding. Overall my personal experience is positive.

Called and spoke to appointments on two separate occasions today, had a little wait on the phone which was no trouble at all, I don't often make Drs appointments and I've not got to grips fully with e-consult so I had to go 'old school'. I needed to arrange a referral, I didn't get the name of the lady I spoke to but she was incredibly helpful, she directed me through the correct way to request one on e-consult as the appointments had been taken up for the day so an e-consult request would be the best and swiftest option. I completely forgot that I needed to also arrange an appointment with the nurse so I had to call back, I spoke to a different lady who was equally as helpful as the first and sorted out the next available appointment with the minimum of fuss or bother. I know that Doctors Receptionists can get a bad wrap but I think a lot of it is also how they are approached, on 2 separate calls this morning they did DHC proud though. Thank you
