They tried to sell me some fake technology they call "dianetics". Worse than an actual religion. I hope they get exposed (again). "Dianetics" is a set of ideas and practices created by science fiction author L. Ron Hubbard, which later formed the basis for the Church of Scientology. It's a controversial topic because of its lack of empirical scientific support, and the practices and beliefs of Scientology have been critiqued and scrutinized by various authorities and individuals over the years. Dianetics' foundational text, "Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health," published by Hubbard in 1950, presents a methodology designed to help alleviate unwanted sensations and emotions, irrational fears, and psychosomatic illnesses (illnesses caused or aggravated by mental stress). Dianetics proposes that this is accomplished by addressing the "reactive mind," a supposed subconscious layer of the mind that, according to Hubbard, stores traumatic experiences and causes problems in the conscious mind. Here are some reasons why people argue Dianetics could be considered "fake": Lack of scientific evidence: Despite Hubbard's claim that Dianetics is a "science of the mind," it is not recognized as such by the scientific community. It does not follow the scientific method, which involves formulating hypotheses and testing them empirically. There are no peer-reviewed scientific studies supporting the principles or effectiveness of Dianetics. Contradictions with established psychology and neuroscience: The concept of the "reactive mind," a core tenet of Dianetics, is not supported by established psychological and neuroscientific knowledge. The way Dianetics describes and explains human thoughts and behavior contradicts many well-supported theories and findings in these fields. Undeliverable promises: Dianetics promises certain outcomes, such as improved health and superior mental function, which are not reliably delivered. These promises lack empirical support and can be seen as misleading. Criticism and legal issues: The Church of Scientology, which promotes Dianetics, has been subject to considerable criticism, controversy, and legal actions. Issues include accusations of fraud, harassment, and human rights abuses, which some individuals see as casting doubt on the legitimacy of Dianetics

Interesting place with a very practical approach to everyday life problems. Worth taking a couple of the introductory courses or at least checking out some of the films and books.

I went there as I had been told by a friend about Scientology and wanted to find out more. The staff were friendly and it was suggested that I take a Personality Test which I did. This is a list of questions which you can answer yes, maybe or no by ticking an options box. The resulting interview in which I was shown my very personal personality graph was fascinating. The graph being accurate and I realized I wanted to improve the graph. I decided to do their Communication Course which I have completed and this has helped me a lot with regard to communicating my ideas with others, improved my self confidence and mental sharpness and brightness. I am certainly happier as a result. I enthusiastically recommend a visit if you want to make your life better.
