They repaired it in a day and fixed a load of other things that was wrong with the car! 5* service and I will be definitely returning to them for any repairs/maintenance. First class service and knowledge with being sent regular photo updates being a key part of the experience. Very useful when you don't know what corrosion lies beneath a panel in an mx5! Adam was super helpful from the start, able to use example photos to give me a pragmatic ball park figure from afar without me having to drive to show him car, just photos. Other competitors weren't interested in this approach. He and team did a mix of welding, painting and engine work all to a high standard over 3 weeks. I was able to drop off and pickup on a Saturday. Highly recommended.

I have entrusted my car to DFTR many times and each time they've gone above and beyond. When I brought my car in for a clutch change, they've noticed a check engine light from my intermittent misfire issue (which was in the car history, so I've dismissed it) and found my spark plugs needed changing earlier than expected. On my last visit they've advised me of some things to look out for at the next MOT. Genuinely worth the 40+ min commute for one of the best and most trustworthy engineers

After looking for a garage Midlands based to perform some rust repairs I decided to go with Adam and his team. When I first took my car to them they thoroughly inspected my car on the ramp to see what the areas of concerns for. They also definitely know their stuff when it comes to MX5s and are very friendly. I had very detailed updates with the repair process showing each of the rusty sections unearthed and at each point of the restoring process. Very impressed with the level of quality in the work done and will keep my car on the road for many more years to come. Will definitely be back again if I need any more MX5 related work. Well I have recently had my MX5 NB timing belt and tensioners with water pump replaced and rocker cover seal done … These guys are brilliant Adam and Co where fantastic !! First time I have used them and all I can say is I wished I used DFTR the last 4 years !!! Amazing job !! Had my MK2.5 front chassis rails done here recently. The difference is night & day - the front of the chassis feels so much more solid and confidence inspiring. I got regular updates and photos (attached) so you can see every stage of the work. Pricing was very reasonable and the standard of the work is incredible. Thanks guys and will definitely be back for any MX5-related work.

This is a gem of a workshop. I'd recommend them to anyone, particularly for Mx-5 drivers.
